DescriptionCultural beliefs, as well as systems, affect health outcomes in various communities around the world. Understanding how cultural and social factors that affect physical health can make an impact on how physicians address health and also prepare physicians who will provide health care to these various communities. The course will discuss how to organize successful medical collaborative trips abroad and cultural implications of medicine.

Objectives:Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to: 1. Discuss cultural implications of global health 2. Discuss strategies for global health engagement 3. Discuss logistics for global health engagement

CE Statements:Loma Linda University Medical Center, Staff Development is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
