What is a Chromebook?

Chromebooks and21st Century Skills

To address 21st Century skills, students are expected to:• Gather relevant information from multiple print and digital sources, assess

the credibility and accuracy of each source, and integrate the information while avoiding plagiarism.

• Integrate and evaluate content presented in diverse media formats, including visually and quantitatively, as well as in words.

• Integrate and evaluate multiple sources of information presented in diverse formats and media (e.g., quantitative data, video, multimedia) in order to address a question or solve a problem.

• Synthesize information from a range of sources (e.g., texts, experiments, simulations) into a coherent understanding of a process, phenomenon, or concept, resolving conflicting information when possible.

Chromebooks in the Digital Age “Knowledge is available on every Internet-connected device, what you know matters far less than what you can do with what you know. The capacity to innovate — the ability to solve problems creatively or bring new possibilities to life — and skills like critical thinking, communication and collaboration are far more important than academic knowledge.”

- Tony Wagner
