Please read these simple guidelines.Not ollowing these guidelines maybe dangerous or illegal.
Exposure to radio frequency

Radio wave exposure and SpeciicAbsorption Rate (SAR) inormation.This mobile phone model GM730has been designed to comply with
applicable saety requirements orexposure to radio waves. Theserequirements are based on scientiicguidelines that include saetymargins designed to ensure the
saety o all persons, regardless oage and health.
The radio wave exposureguidelines employ a unit omeasurement known as theSpeciic Absorption Rate, or SAR.Tests or SAR are conducted usingstandardised methods with thephone transmitting at its highest

LG chargers are designed tomaximize the battery lie.
Do not disassemble or short-circuitthe battery pack.
Keep the metal contacts o thebattery pack clean.
Replace the battery when itno longer provides acceptableperormance. The battery pack
may be recharged hundreds otimes until it needs replacing.
Recharge the battery i it hasnot been used or a long time to
maximize usability. Do not expose the battery charger

1 Remove the battery cover
Slide the battery cover towardsthe bottom o the phone andaway rom it.
2 Remove the battery
Using the cut-out at thebottom lit it rom the batterycompartment.

3 Install the USIM card
Pull the USIM card holder out andput the USIM card into the USIMcard holder. Make sure the goldcolor contact area on the card is
acing downwards. Push the USIMcard holder back.
4 Install the battery
First, insert the top o the batteryinto the top edge o the batterycompartment. Ensure that thebattery contacts align with the
phones terminals. Press thebottom o the battery down untilit clips into place.

5 Charging your phone
Remove the charger socket coveron the side o your GM730. Insertthe charger and plug it into amains electricity socket. When
you recharge your phone aterdevice switch o, the phones LEDlights up red.
When the phone is ully charged,the LED lights up green.
When the battery is ullydischarged, you can not power onthe phone. It takes approx. 5~10minutes to reach a charge state
suicient or booting.
I you press and hold the powerbutton or approx. 1 second incharging mode, the phone is
turned on.
NOTE: The battery must be ully
charged initially to improvebattery lietime.
WARNING: Do not connect thecharger to the phone without
the battery. You must checkthe battery is inserted beorecharging.

Installing a memory card
You can expand the memory spaceon your phone by using a MicroSDmemory card.
NOTE: A memory card is an optional
accessory.Slide the memory card into the slotat the top until it clicks into place.Make sure the gold color contactarea is acing downwards.

Occasionally you may need to resetyour device. A normal (or sot)reset o your device clears all activeprogram memory and shuts downall active programs. This can be
useul when the device is runningslower than normal, or a programis not perorming properly. A sotreset is also necessary ater theinstallation o some programs.
I a sot reset is perormed whenprograms are running, unsavedwork will be lost.
You can also perorm a hard reset
(also known as a ull reset). A hardreset should only be perormedi a normal reset does not solve asystem problem. Ater a hard reset,the device is restored to its deault
settingsthe way it was whenyou irst purchased it and turnedit on. Any programs you installed,data you entered, and settings youcustomized on the device will be
lost.
To perform a soft resetFind the Sot reset key. This is thesmall hole inside the charger socketcover on the right hand side o your
device (shown enclosed by circles inthe picture below).Use the stylus to press the reset keyand hold it or a while. Your devicemay shut down. Press the POWER
button, the device restarts anddisplays the Home Screen.

perormed ater all other trouble
shooting options have been
exhausted. Ater a hard reset, thedevice is restored to its deault
settings - the way it was when you
irst purchased it and turned it on.
Any programs you installed, data you

on your device will be lost.
Power the device ON
Tap Start > Settings > System
tab > Clear Storage.

Touch screen tips
The Home Screen is also a greatplace to get used to using the touchscreen.
To select an item, touch the centre
o the icon.Do not press too hard; thetouchscreen is sensitive enoughto pick up on a light, irm touch.
Use the tip o your inger totouch the option you require. Becareul not to touch any otherkeys.
When the screen light is o, pressthe power key once to restore theHome Screen.
Whenever your GM730 is notin use it will return to the lock
screen.
Calibrate the device
Calibrating the device screeninvolves tapping with the stylus thecenter o a cross as it moves aroundthe screen. This process ensures that
when you tap the screen with yourstylus, the tapped item is activated.
I your device does not accuratelyrespond to screen taps, ollow thesesteps to re-calibrate.
Tap Start > Settings > Systemtab > Screen.
On the Alignment tab, touchAlign Screen, and ollow the
instructions on the screen.Ater calibration is completed,Align screen reappears. ClickOKon upper right corner to return tosetting mode.

Select the Mouse Mode, i youwant to use the Joystick as a

Put your inger on the Joysticksensor and move smoothly.The Mouse cursor on the screenwill move with your inger

Your Home Screen
From this screen you can access menu options, make a call, view the status
o your phone and do many other things.
Select Home Screen
Touch Start > Settings > Personal tab > Home Screen.

In XT9 mode, you will see .The XT9 mode automaticallycompares your keystrokes with aninternal dictionary to determinethe correct word, thus requiring arewer keystrokes than the traditionalmultitap mode.This is sometimes known aspredictive text. This eature is
supported only in portrait screen.NOTE: You cannot activate XT9 inSearch input box.
ABC mode
You can enter letters by tappingthe key labeled with the requiredletter once or twice until the correctletter is displayed. Tap once or theirst letters and twice or the second
letters. This mode is known asmultitap mode.
LGJavaKey
LGJavaKey is the navigationkey used when you use a Javaapplication. You cannot enterletters using LGJavaKey.
Using TranscriberTranscriber is a handwritingrecognition program thatallows you to write in cursive,
print, or a combination o both.Transcriber works transparentlyin the background o programs,recognizing words with itsintegrated dictionary. When

Adjusting call volume
To adjust the volume during a call,use the up and down button on theright side o the phone.
Speed diallingYou can assign a requently-calledcontact to a speed dial number.
From the Home Screen touchto open your LG Contacts.
Touch Menu and select Speeddials.
Your voicemail is already set tospeed dial 1. You cannot change
this. Touch any other number toassign it to a speed dial contact.

Setting up your email
You can keep in touch on the moveby using your GM730 or email. Itsquick and simple to set up a POP3or IMAP4 email account.
Touch rom the Home Screen,and scroll through LG E-mail onthe Communication tab.
To Create a new message, tapMenu and select New.
NOTE: You need the inormationrom your network provider asollow: Server address, Domainname, User name, Password. You

Shooting a quick video
Press the Camera Hot key on theright side o the phone.

You can create your own playlists bychoosing a selection o songs romthe All Tracks older.
