Pushing your child to be a Happy Successful Achiever

Being successful does not necessarily mean being happy. It is the responsibility of parents along with teacherssupport

to help a child become a happy successful achiever, as success without happiness is not fruitful at all. For this, we need

to go through a difficult process, as achievement was and is the solution to the problem.

For a child to be a successful achiever, we need to build self esteem in the child. In addition to giving unconditional love,

one has to understand their actions as it matters and has consequences.

Children need to gain a sense of ownership of theirlifesinterests, efforts and achievements.

We need to be with them to understand and experience emotions fully both healthy (happy, energetic, enthusiastic,

curious) and unhealthy emotions ( anger, frustration, sadness, fear and anxiety).

Children need to feel that he/ she is loved irrespective of the behavior and capabilities they are born with. Acceptance

makes them feel unique and understood, it leads a child to feel loved, appreciated, valued and trusted. This sense of

security can further be strengthened by parents and teachers by avoiding comparison with others.

Once parents and teachers accept a childsbehavior, they are clear about what, the child can be appreciated for and in

turn children are aware of the people, who can protect them when they are at risk or vulnerable.

This encourages children to confidently begin exploring their world, take risks, test their limits and accept responsibility

for their actions. Once the child starts feeling responsible and believes that it is okay to make mistakes, handle things

when they go wrong. That is when they enjoy whatever they do and realizeIcanchange.

With this children develop self confidence, a sense of immense love for their achievements and enjoy their efforts. They

get motivated to work harder and take pride in their triumphs and tribulations. In this achievement, there is happiness

    as it comes from within.

Children need to be accepted and encouraged, to be happy successful achievers, NOT just achievers.
