SEE GO LIVE WORK SEE GO LIVE WORK Our goal is to reduce the number of single occupancy vehicles in downtown Tacoma by 11 percentage points. GOAL VISION MISSION Downtown On the Go envisions a vibrant, integrated downtown Tacoma – where daily life is enhanced by connecting people, green spaces, arts & culture, and jobs. Interdependent land use policies and transportation options reinforce an active, compact urban core that is connected locally and regionally, promoting a focus on the movement and interactions of people rather than cars. Downtown On the Go’s purpose is to be the transportation advocate and resource for anyone whose daily life is downtown. We do this by: • Educating about transportation choices other than driving alone. • Encouraging use of transit, ridesharing, biking, walking, and flexible work arrangements. • Advocating for transportation choices and land use policies that promote a vibrant and integrated downtown. SINGLE OCCUPANCY VEHICLES = 77% Our goal is to reduce that number to 65% by 2015!

Where We Are TODAY OUR 2015 Goal

SMALL BUSINESS SURVEY Commute trip data were collected by the Washington Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) survey and administered at most CTR-affected downtown Tacoma worksites in spring/summer 2014. This survey is mandatory for CTR-affected employers.

Data were collected by DOTG’s Small Business Survey, which replicated the survey format of the State CTR survey, and was administered in summer/fall 2014. The Small Business Survey was administered to worksites in downtown Tacoma on an opt-in basis.
