GPMA Activities 1) GPMA AGM at Hotel Mandovi Panjim 30

th August 2019

Highlights of GPMA AGM

• Annual General Body meeting of Goa Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers Association [ GPMA] was

held on 30th

August 2019 at Hotel Mandovi Panjim.

• Representatives from Various Pharma companies in Goa attended the meeting

• Public Function for the GPMA members and other invited members from Various Sectors was

held after the meeting. Mrs. JYOTI SARDESAI, Director Goa Food and Drugs Administration was

the Chief Guest of the Function and addressed the Pubic with her key note speech.

• Topper of the B. Pharm for Year 2019 Ms. Chinmayi Dhavlikar from PES College of Pharmacy

Ponda was felicitated at the hands of Chief Guest during the function.

• Memorandum of Understanding [MoU] was signed between the GPMA and Vibrant Goa

Foundation during the function.

• Public Function was followed by Presentation by Mr. Harikrishnan, Director Exhivision India Pvt

Ltd and Mr. Armaan Bankley, Vibrant Goa Foundation where they shared information about

upcoming Vibrant Goa Exhibition to be held in Goa in October.

• Final session of the Public Function was conducted by Speaker Mr. Kishor Shah, Director IDEAZ

Unlimited where he focused on the topic HEAT [ Helping Everyone to achieve better]

2) IPA Convention

• Dr. Praveen Khullar, President GPMA was present at IPA Convention held at Vigyan Bhawan,

New Delhi from 11th

to 12th

September 2019 and participated in panel discussion on Industry-

Academia – Regulatory. Around 700 delegates and 500 students from all over the country

attended the Convention.

GPMA Activities

• GPMA Executive Committee meeting was held on 14th

September 2019 at International Centre,

Dona Paula, Panjim and various future activities were discussed.

• Vibrant Goa Board Meeting was held along with associated Partners at The Fern Kadamba, Old

Goa Panjim on 19th

September 2019 for overview and discussion on the preparations of

upcoming Vibrant Goa Exhibition to be held in Goa from 17th

to 19th

October 2019.

Dr. Praveen Khullar, President GPMA represented GPMA at this

meeting.

• Dr. Praveen Khullar, President GPMA was interviewed by 92.7 Big FM related to the upcoming

event Vibrant Goa to be held in Goa.

Dr. Khullar spoke about exploring potential of Goa for making a

platform of networking and collaboration at India and Global Level.

This Interview was broadcasted on 92.7 Big FM on 26th

September.

• Dr. Praveen Khullar, President GPMA participated in Faculty Development Programme organized

at PES college of Pharmacy Ponda and delivered key notes on the topic of Industrial Pharmacy to

around 30 Faculties across Goa.

• Mr. AV Kiran Associate Director and Mr. Sagar Adichwal Manager Regulatory at Sanofi

Synthelabo delivered talks on Innovation in Pharmaceuticals and Global Regulatory respectively

during this Programme.

5) Pharma Pro & Pack expo 2019

• GPMA was associated with 7th

Pharma Pro and Pack Expo Exhibition and India Lab Expo held at

Hitex City, Hyderabad from 19th

to 21st

of September 2019.

• Various Pharmaceutical Machinery Exhibitors from India and other countries demonstrated their

Analytical, Process and other machines during this exhibition.

• Many delegates from GPMA attended this Exhibition.

6) IPEC INDIA’s 3rd Annual Conference In Collaboration With GPMA

• IPEC INDIA’s 3rd Annual Conference In Collaboration With GPMA

on “Future of Pharmaceutical Excipients – A Global Perspective for

Patient Safety” was held on Friday, September 20, 2019 – Vivanta by

Taj, Panaji, Goa. Dr. Praveen Khullar President GPMA was present at

the inaugural session of the Conference.

• Mr. Wilbur Vaz from Colorcon and also a GPMA member was the main Co-Ordinator for this

Conference.

• Mr. Mahesh Gurnasinghani Secretary GPMA participated in Panel discussion at the conference.

•

Conference was attended by around 60 participants from

various Pharma companies across Goa.
