Prophesy

Acts 2.16-18 NET: “But this is what was spoken about through the

prophet Joel: ‘And in the last days it will be,’ God says, ‘that I will pour

out my Spirit on all people, and your sons and your daughters will

prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will

dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I

will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.’”

Acts 16.13-15 NET: On the Sabbath day we went outside the city gate to

the side of the river, where we thought there would be a place of prayer, and

we sat down and began to speak to the women who had assembled there. A

woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, a God-

fearing woman, listened to us. The Lord opened her heart to respond to what Paul was saying. After she and

her household were baptized, she urged us, “If you consider me to be a

believer in the Lord, come and stay in my house.” And she persuaded us.

behavior fitting for those who are holy, not slandering, not slaves to

excessive drinking, but teaching what is good. In this way they will train the younger women to love

their husbands, to love their children, to be self-controlled, pure, fulfilling their duties at home, kind,

being subject to their own husbands, so that the message of
