Going to see
Joseph and the
Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat is a musical.
Seeing a musical is like watching
a movie or TV show with people
singing and dancing on a stage.
Page 1
The musical is being performed
at Near West Theatre.
Here is a picture of Near West
Theatre located at
6702 Detroit Ave.
Page 2
We will either park in the
parking lot behind
the theatre, a different
parking lot, or on the street.
Page 3
Next we will walk to the front of the theatre.
The theatre is a very large blue building.
Page 4
Once we enter the front doors
we’ll be in the lobby.
The lobby is where people pick up tickets.
We will have to wait in line
to pick up tickets at the Will
Call table.
Page 5
The lobby can get very busy, crowded,
and loud before the show.
It’ll be important to stick by my
parent or group.
Page 6
We will have our tickets
checked by an usher and go into
the theatre.
We can pick our own seats
or have an usher help us.
Page7
The theatre is very big and can
get noise before the show starts.
If I need to take a break I can go
into the quite space in the lobby
or go downstairs to the café.
Page 8
I will have an inside
voice in the theatre.
Page 9
When the theatre gets dark
the show is about to start.
I will sit quietly with my
body still.
Page 10
Sometimes people will
clap during the show.
I can clap, too.
Page 12
During the show I can squeeze my
parents hand or my squeeze toy.
If I need to take a break during
the show I can go to the quite
space in the lobby.
Page 11
Sometimes the show will be
loud. That’s okay.
I can take a break in the lobby or cover my ears if it gets
too loud.
Page 13
After the show I can stay
and talk to the performers.
Or I can go home.
