1) A squirrel cage induction motor, when started by means of an star delta starter takes 200% of full load current (line) and develops 44% of full load torque at starting. Calculate the starting torque and current, if an auto transformer with 75% tapping is applied. 2) Explain the principle of operation of induction generator. 3) The rotor resistance per phase of an 8 pole a 50Hz slip ring motor is 0.25 ohm

and its full load speed is 720rpm. Calculate the external resistance per phase that
