GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE
The 75th Anniversary is a program of the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy in cooperation with the National Park Service and the Presidio Trust.
TEMPORARY CLOSURES AND DETOURS (see map on reverse side) For your safety, sections of the Golden Gate Bridge Plaza and Battery East parking lots and the Battery East Bay Trail (see map on reverse) will be temporarily closed during construction. Specific closures will vary over the 9 month construction period. You may monitor closures and construction progress at www.goldengate.org/news/bridge/Construction-Alerts.php.
To safely allow visitors access to the Bridge visitor area, we strongly encourage the use of alternative transportation. For more information, please see map on the reverse side or visit www.transit.511.org and www.goldengatetransit.org/schedules.

AUGUST 2011 - APRIL 2012
May 27, 2012 marks the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge. To improve the Bridge’s southeast side visitor area for this major milestone, several construction projects will be underway from August 2011 through April 2012. The following improvements will be made to enhance the visitor experience, improve interpretation and visitor programs, and improve visitor safety and parking efficiency:
• Construct the Golden Gate Bridge Pavilion to welcome visitors, provide information, and sell commemorative merchandise
• Renovate the historic Round House Gift Shop as a meeting place for visitor programs and tours
• Revitalize visitor plaza by restoring historic views of the Bridge and surrounding areas, improving signage, and providing improved accessibility
