Before approaching Universities in your local reality, conducting a Market Research is important. University Market Research should include:

1. Name of College2. Courses offered3. Vacation Period4. Administration Contact5. Student clubs present in the

college6. Contact details of student club

heads7. AIESECer present in the university

if any8. LC presence in the University in the

past(events, recruitments etc)

Youth Research

Youth opinion can be involved in the following ways to understand market:

1. Surveys can be conducted through the LC’s Facebook page to know which countries the city’s youth is looking forward to go to. LC-LC Co-operations can be worked on using this data.

2. Social media can be used to conduct a survey and find out what kind of internships the youth is looking for.

EXPECTATION SETTING• Passport• Sell Issues only through National Partnerships.• Mention specific countries you can send them to before Raising.• Tell them you are not responsible for their VISA, you will just get them the required

documents.• AIESEC is a PLATFORM which provides OPPORTUNITIES to students to go for an

International EXPERIENCE. We do not guarantee internships.• Do not promise Free food and accommodation.• Tell them we will get you interviews but if you dont get through, Raising Fees will not

be returned.• Accommodation will be basic and this needs to be communicated to them.• Make sure you screen the EPs through an interview before having an Expectation

Setting with them. You only need to check their English speaking skills, Finances and the reason they are going for a GEP.

Events

•Invite the EPs as special delegates/volunteers for events being help in the LC.

EPIC

•Conduct a local EPIC for your EPs. Although Regional ones are being conducted.

Campaigns

•Involve EPs in Raising Campaigns like ‘Take My Friend’ (Mainland of China) to raise more EPs through existing ones.

It is essential to engage EPs from Raise-Match period in order to ensure no backing out from the EPs end. The various ways in which the LC can take this up have been listed above.

Provide them with Reception Booklets from ICX Countries.

In this phase EPs will have a lot of doubts, queries and concerns. This is where your TL Delivery and Delivery team needs to work. Engagement during this period can be done in the above ways.

• What kind of Invitation letter is required – Original or Scanned?

• Is an Interview required? • What kind of VISA is the

EP required to apply for?• Is Insurance required?• How much time will the

EPs can be involved in a live blogging campaign which can be promoted through social media. Live blogging.

EPs should record quality videos while on exchange of the hosting city which can later be used for promotions.
