History of Golden RetrieversGolden Retrievers were “developed” in Britain during the 1800’s under the watchful eye of Lord Tweedmouth.The official recognition by The Kennel Club was in 1911 as “Retriever-Yellow or Golden” and the “Retriever-Golden” in 1920.First registered in Canada in 1925. Then the American Kennel Club in 1932.

Care of Golden RetrieversKeep your golden inside if at all possible. These are extremely social dogs and they need to be around family.Keep your golden’s weight down. Overweight dogs can have more health issues like heart trouble and arthritis.
