You see, Gondwana isn’t just our own outdoor brand; it’s the name of the southern hemisphere landmass before the Earth formed the continents that we recognise today. It was over 180 million years ago when Gondwana broke away. And today, nothing’s changed – we still love to breakaway, breakaway from the everyday routine of life and escape to the bush, the mountains, the sea, or wherever your passion takes you, to recharge with nature and reconnect with family and friends.

It’s about trading your smart phone for a travel guide, switching your office chair for a path less travelled and rugging up to watch your kids make their mark on the real world instead of the virtual one. It’s about turning off the central heating and breathing in the fresh outdoor air and spending less time with acquaintances and more time with the people that matter most.

The Gondwana logo design inspiration has been drawn from the original brand mark, the name and meaning of ‘Gondwana’ and the spirit of the brand. The logo has been developed to reflect what Gondwana stands for; an outdoor apparel brand that is distinct and different in the marketplace. It reflects the evolving direction of Gondwana; we are a brand that inspires individual experiences, human connectivity, and time treasured.

Our logo utilises interlocking ‘G’ letterforms to create a dynamic vortex like graphic. The wrapping forms curve and support each other expressing connectivity, strength and reliability. Through this layout, the unity of the ‘G’ letterforms creates a graphic that symbolises the direction of the brand. A direction of togetherness, strength and reliability, all of which interprets through to apparel that is robust, durable and encourages you to stay outdoors for longer.

To keep a visual connection with our original branding and the meaning behind ‘Gondwana’, the Gondwana logo features colours derived from the landscapes of our great southern land. every facet of the evolution of our business.

The Gondwana Summer 14 range is an example of this enthusiasm with its further development of the look and feel of the Gondwana brand.

This season the design team has built on what we do best through a variety of fresh styles and updates to the core range. Through the use of technical and eco-conscious fabrics, each item in the range has been designed to perform in our unique environment, with

the best functional features to maximise comfort and protection. The range is attainable, practical and distinctly Australian.

We see outdoor adventure as a family activity and as such have expanded our range of kids Gondwana gear to include shirts, tees, shorts and pants for even the littlest adventure seekers.

As always all of this is supported by the strength of our service package. Our philosophy is focused on flexibility, openness, honesty and a partnership approach. We are all in this

SUMMER 2014 VISUALIDENTITY ELEMENTS

ZIP PULLS, BAR TACKS AND LOGO

• All of our Gondwana zip pulls will now come in one colour being our bright orange.

• Bar tacks are heavy stitching we have strategically placed in areas of high stress. You’ll notice we have highlighted some of these on our Gondwana garments with contrast stitching.

• The Gondwana logo will be proudly positioned in a highly visible spot on all Gondwana garments.

BACK NECK/WAIST TIPPING AND GARMENT PRINTS

• Beautiful quality tipping will be used in the back neck of tops and the back waist of bottoms to help identify the garment as Gondwana.

• All screen prints have been updated, matching back to the colours of our Gondwana branding.

CONTRAST SIDE SPLITS AND BUTTON STITCHING

• To help give our shirting a lift we have claimed the second last button up from the hem as Gondwana territory.

• Contrast bright orange stitching not only secures the button but also helps identify it as a Gondwana garment.

• The inside of our handy side splits, found on shirts and tee’s, are now edged with a contrast herringbone tape.
