1JO 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

(7) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood

MAT 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee

God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

101. FIRST PRAYER MEETING: A SPIRIT IS CAST OUT OF A BELIEVER (JULY14, 1971).

y wife and I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit July 13, 1971, at a charismatic seminar in

Ruston, La., and to say that our lives were changed is a massive unders tatem ent.

Two of the m inisters, a Baptist preacher, Dave Fisher, and a Catholic priest, Dwayne Stencil,

came home with us after the sermon to spend the night. These two men seem ed so strange to

us. W e could not understand how m en from two different Christian fa iths could minister

together.

W e left Ruston at midnight and arrived hom e about one in the morning. I asked the ministers

if they would like a snack, but they refused, saying that they were fasting for the meeting.

As I was getting into bed, Clarice asked m e, "W hat m eeting are they fasting for?"

Being very tired from a long day of Bible teaching at the seminar, I yawned and weakly replied, "I don't

know!"

The next morning I went to their room and was surprised to see them kneeling and praying fervently.

Again, they refused to eat, replying that they were fasting for the meeting.

About 3 p.m. I whispered to Clarice, "They think there is going to be a meeting here in our hom e tonight.

They've been without food so long they must be hallucinating."

Clarice and I had purchased our home at 804 Morgan Street, in Monroe, Louisiana, only months before

this testimony took place, and I had not yet met my neighbors. At 4 p.m. I decided to knock on the doors of

my neighbors, introduce m yself and invite them to attend a meeting in our home. After all, I did not want our

two m inisters to be embarrassed, seeing that they believed that people would be gathering for a meeting.

I really did not expect what was about to happen! At 7 p.m. it seemed that people came from everywhere.

My den accomm odates about 25 people comfortably, and 35 had crowded in and were sitting on the couch,

on the hearth, and on the floor.

At exactly 7 p.m. the Baptist preacher and the Catholic priest came down with big smiles on their faces

and greeted the people with a confidence that seemed to say, "W e knew you would be here."

The prayer meeting was pleasant but rather low key. The two preachers gave testimony how the Lord

Jesus had brought them together and was leading them in their ministry across the United States. Nothing

out of the ordinary took place.

About 10 p.m . most of the crowd left and a few of us were still talking in the den. All of a sudden, unusual

and startling sounds were heard. The two ministers were in the dining room , facing a man (Let's call him

Tom.), and were demanding in a loud voice, "Come out of him , Devil."

Clarice and I were startled by the commotion. It was only the night before that we had been prayed over

to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and now, within 24 hours, we were in the middle of a deliverance.

Rev. Dwayne came into the living room and said, "Come with me quietly and observe.

Several of us stepped into the dining room, and stood within a few feet of the activity as the two ministers

directed their attention toward Tom and continued to call out spirits.

Now I had known Tom for several years and believed him to be about the most holy man that I had ever

met. I wondered, "Could this man, a Christian, need deliverance?"

The ministers were now speaking by the word of knowledge (1 Co.12:8); that is, true statements that

proved they had privileged information about Tom. The anointed statements of the ministers were facts

concerning his ch ildhood and Tom acknowledged them to be true.

Tom 's personality was vacillating drastically. He confirmed the truth of the comments of the preachers one

mom ent and in the next breath demons were again speaking out of him. This experience was a great test for

my logical mind.

I knew this man; he would not in any way carry on with some kind of game. The demons were speaking

through Tom's vocal cords with an eerie voice and one demon said, "You can not call us out. W e have been

here a long time!"

The ministers laughed and said, "You have been there since Tom's father rejected him, when he was a

baby in the cr ib."

Dave continued, "Come out Rejection, in the Name of Jesus Christ."

Tom 's body went into rigors for a mom ent, and then a tremendous peace came over him. He was

delivered from the torment that had m om ents before controlled him .

The two ministers took all this in stride as routine Christian living, and simply rejoiced.

Rev. Dwayne next spoke to a woman who was suffering from a deformed leg. "Jesus wants to heal your

leg. Are you willing?"

The built-up shoe was removed from her foot and they seated her in a chair in the middle of the room.

The confidence of the two ministers was amazing. Rev. Dwayne said to several of us standing around,

"Come over here. Jesus is going to grow out th is leg .... Com e closer, because I want all of you to see this

firsthand."

W e all crowded around. The lady was s itting up straight in a chair with both feet extended. Brother

Dwayne was kneeling in front of her and had placed his hands under her heels and turned the toes outward

so we could see from the position of her heels that there was 3 inches difference in the length of her legs.

"In the Name of Jesus, .... grow leg!" said Rev. Dwayne in a soft voice. To our utter amazement the leg

began to grow out. I observed her position in the chair. Perhaps emotion or some subconscious movement

on her part was causing her to push her leg out.

No, she was sitting up straight, not moving, but yet the leg was growing out. W ithin a couple of minutes

she was on her feet and praising God. She tried to put her built-up shoe on to go hom e but could not walk

because her legs were now normal.

W ithin 24 hours, we had received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, saw demons cast out, and witnessed a

mighty healing.

This was our first experience of seeing a deliverance first hand, but there would be hundreds to follow.

The Bible was coming alive before our very eyes. It was true; Jesus, the same yesterday, today and

forever...truly He was alive and still working through his disciples exactly as He had done in the early years

of the New Testament Church.

The next day as I took Dave and Dwayne to the airport, I asked, "Dwayne, how do you, a Catholic priest,

ministering with the approval of your Bishop, get along with a Baptist? I would have thought that your doctrines

would cause strife."

He assured me that the two of them were successful because they had learned a secret. W ith a smile,

he said, "The secret is not to press doctrine, but to lift up Jesus, and all men will be drawn to Him." "One more

question, Dwayne," I asked. "How do you get your money, and airfare?"

Being young in the faith walk, I marveled when Dwayne said, "The Lord always meets our needs.

Sometimes we go to the airport and stand in the terminal until someone walks up and asks if they might buy

us a ticket." W e marveled at these testimonies in the early seventies.

102. A BELIEVER'S DELIVERANCE FROM A SPIRIT OF FALSE RELIGION.

fter Clarice and I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, my desire to read the Bible becam e very

strong and I could not put it down. I read the W ord of God night and day. It was as if my human

spirit was starving.

A minister in our community prophesied that the Lord was going to bring the broken hearted and

ministers from all Christian fa iths to our home for m inistry.

The day following the prophecy it literally began to happen. People were ring ing the doorbells

at the carport and the front door at the sam e time. The prophecy was com ing to pass.

The brokenhearted were coming from great distances to find us, and they said, "the Lord told us you

would minister to us." These were amazing, yet wonderful years for great healing and supernatural

deliverance.

I had no idea that the Lord was going to call us to be full time ministers. After all, I was a successful real

estate broker.

Near my home in north Monroe, I had purchased and developed Forsythe Business Park, a 50-lot

com mercial subdivision, and this was the center of m y real estate operation.

Some months after receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, I was working in my office complex. Clarice

stopped by to visit, and we were preparing to lock up and go home for the day.

Someone knocked at our office door. I looked at Clarice and she gave me a shrug, as if to say, "I'm not

expecting anyone."

The man at our door (Let's call him R ichard.) was a dear friend in the Lord. He said that the Lord had sent

him to pray for Clarice and me. Richard was a local physician and well respected in our community.

He had attended some of our prayer meetings, and we admired him as a mature and sensitive Christian

who knew the Lord firsthand.

W hile Dr. Richard was speaking, there came another knock! It was another m ature Christian friend. (Let's

call her Linda.)

Each of the two ministers said that the Lord had sent them to pray with us, and neither of the two knew

the other was coming.

Richard and Linda began to pray in a steady but gentle voice. They were praising the Lord and asking the

Holy Spirit to bring about a perfect work.

Suddenly Dr. Richard's voice changed from gentle to authoritative. He said, "Now Clarice, I'm not talking

to you but I am talking to that spirit in you! And in the name of Jesus, I com mand the spirit of false religion to

com e out."

I was dum founded. How could my wife have an unclean spirit? She was being used so mightily. The

prophecy predicting that the brokenhearted and ministers would come to us for prayer had all come to pass.

"Come out, in Jesus Name!" commanded Dr. Richard.

I sim ply did not believe that Clarice could be housing an unclean spirit. Surely, Dr. Richard was moving

in presum ption and not in true faith and discernm ent.

Clar ice was objecting. She said, "Richard I don't think I have an unclean spirit.".

"Keep quiet, Clarice," said Richard, as he insisted that the unclean spirit come out!

Page 20: GOOD QUESTI ONS AND GREAT ANSWERSalbenterprises.com/eaglesaints/ENCweb/books_pdf/102 DELIV... · 2009. 12. 5. · -1-GOOD QUESTI ONS AND GREAT ANSWERS: The questions in this syllabus

I was just about ready to stop this whole affair, when Clarice opened her mouth and spoke. Her voice was

not her voice. A fiendish whimper spoke and said, "I'm not com ing out.

You don't know m y nam e and I was here first, before that other Spirit came in."

Linda softly reached to touch Richard on the shoulder and said, "Richard, let me subm it this to you. The

Lord shows me that Clarice has already had some deliverance here today and that this unclean spirit will come

out shortly. The Lord is going to reveal the name of the ruling spirit to Clarice and she will call it out."

As we drove home, the short drive of two minutes seemed an eternity. "Can you believe all this," I asked?

"Clarice, was that you speaking, or was that really something in you that is of the devil?"

Clarice replied, "There's something to this, George. I do not yet understand, but the Lord said that I would

soon know the name of th is spirit and call it out. I must trust that God's time is perfect."

As we arrived hom e we were surprised to see my mother's car. It was very unusual for her to be visiting

during the week and especially to have entered the house and be waiting for us.

W hy fret now about things being unusual? Since the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, our lives had jumped into

high gear.

Clarice walked straight to the kitchen table where my mother was reading the newspaper. "Alla Mae," said

Clarice, "Dr. Richard and Linda just prayed with m e and discerned a spirit of false religion."

My mother appeared very thoughtful and said, "Several years ago, I checked a book out of the San

Francisco library. It was about a Hindu guru. Clarice, when you mentioned false religion, I remembered that

I was interested in the religious views of this guru. I made it a point to mem orize his name; a very long and

hard to pronounce Hindu name.

I read his theology until I learned that he did not believe that Jesus was the Son of God. Upon the

revelation that this guru carried a spirit of fa lse religion, I immediately returned the book to the library."

Clarice said, "That's it! I was reading the same book here in Monroe when you were reading it in San

Francisco. I remem ber wondering if this guru had some truth. Alla Mae, tell me the name of that guru so that

I can com mand this fam iliar spirit to come out."

W ithout hesitation my mother quoted the unusual name.

Clarice went to the privacy of the bathroom and commanded that the spirit of false religion leave her.

This unclean spirit had attached itself to Clarice at the time that she put faith in this false religious leader.

103. IDOLS IN THE CLOSET.

he master bedroom bath is also a passage to several other rooms including my walk-in closet.

One day as I was passing through the bathroom, I heard a voice say, "You have false gods

in the dirty clothes hamper." The voice sounded like the Lord, but I found it hard to believe

that I had anything in my home that would be displeasing to God.

"Lord, I don't have any false gods."

"Open the hamper c loset and I’ll show you."

As I opened the doors to the closet, all I saw was dirty clothes . "Lord, I don't see anything but

dirty clothes."

The voice replied, "Look under the clothes." As I pushed the clothes aside, I was surprised to find a

cardboard box securely tied with rope. Now, I vaguely remembered seeing the box a couple of years before.

Only the maid would have knowledge of the box being under the dirty clothes, and she had not called my

attention to it.

As I untied the rope and opened the box, much to my surprise, several artifacts were laying on top of the

contents. Now I rem embered buying these three Aztec statues in Mexico city several years before.

The Mexicans had carved the idols to sell to tourist in old Mexico and were sold under the pretext of being

genuine Aztec artifacts. The idols were carved from obsidian stone and were most beautiful. Their color

changed from black to gold, depending on what angle you viewed them. They seemed innocent enough, but

som ehow I knew that these statues displeased the Lord.

Needless to say, I destroyed them immediately according to Acts 19:19.

Page 21: GOOD QUESTI ONS AND GREAT ANSWERSalbenterprises.com/eaglesaints/ENCweb/books_pdf/102 DELIV... · 2009. 12. 5. · -1-GOOD QUESTI ONS AND GREAT ANSWERS: The questions in this syllabus

ACT 19:19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them

before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of s ilver.

104. A CURSE IN THE OLD ANTIQUE CHEST OF DRAWERS.

ome very dear friends that lived near us in Monroe called us to come to have dinner with them.

After the meal we sat and talked in their living room.

Our friends asked us if we would walk through their home and see if we discerned anything that

was not pleasing to the Lord.

Many times there are abuses in the area of deliverance. It is important that Christians avoid

becoming obsessed with dem ons. Christians should be spending most of their time praising

the Lord Jesus.

I did not want the reputation of being someone who hunted devils, but I did want to be obedient

to bring deliverance.

Just before leaving, Clarice and I walked through the house praying.

W e walked down the hall and were drawn to one of the bedroom s. W ith a certainty, I said, "There is

som ething in this old chest of drawers that does not give honor to the Lord."

The host was surprised and said, "But that chest of drawers is em pty. W e cleaned it out thoroughly."

"Let's examine it anyway," I said, as I pulled out the top drawer. It was em pty. In fact, all the drawers were

empty.

The host seem to think that I had missed it .... His comm ents indicated that it might be somewhere else

in the room.

"No, it's here," I said. As I removed the second drawer and placed it on the floor, I bent over and looked

up toward the top of the vacant opening. An old piece of aged paper was folded and placed above the center

slat in the opening. The paper had been placed there many decades before, and was hidden from view.

Nevertheless, the Lord had given me discernment of the evil and direction (1 Co.12:10) to find it. The

contents, like a curse were not pleasing to the Lord and for this reason I prefer not to quote it.

How many times our adversary, an invisible foe, hides things from our natural eyes. The Lord has

prom ised us the gift of discernm ent so we can perceive good and evil spirits.

Knowing about evil is not enough. W e stand in the stead of Christ, and the Bible says that Jesus was

manifested to destroy the works of the Devil. As the Father sent Jesus, Jesus sends his disciples. He is our

pattern for victorious Christian living.

People who do not act spiritually on the W ord of God will not become spiritual. God wrote H is W ord so

that we might read and obey. God is not just theory, He is action.

105. WHO ME? MY UNEXPECTED DELIVERANCE.

larice was m aking some statements that I did not like.

"Clarice," I said, "you need deliverance. W ill you submit to someone praying for you?"

She said, "I don't be lieve that I need deliverance, but if you want to call som eone, go ahead."

The minister I called was a lady deep in the Lord and I knew her to operate under a m ighty

anointing.

"Betty," I said over the telephone, "Clarice needs deliverance .... Can you come over?"

In a little while Betty came. Clarice and Betty were facing each other on the couch in the den. I

pulled up a chair and sat on the other side of the coffee table so I could see the deliverance. I watched intently,

sitting on the edge of my chair. Betty started praying in the Holy Spirit (the supernatural gift of tongues).

"Clarice," she said, "look at me." As Betty stared into her face, she was pointing her finger toward Clarice.

Page 22: GOOD QUESTI ONS AND GREAT ANSWERSalbenterprises.com/eaglesaints/ENCweb/books_pdf/102 DELIV... · 2009. 12. 5. · -1-GOOD QUESTI ONS AND GREAT ANSWERS: The questions in this syllabus

Ever so s lowly Betty began turning toward m e. Her finger seemed like a deadly pisto l.

Slowly, slowly, she turned away from Clarice until she was looking straight at me and that finger seemed

to nail me to the seat. "Come out of him , you fou l spirit of religion."

I felt like a caged animal. "Yes," I said, "come out of me."

Now, you might say, "Preacher, how do you know you were delivered?"

The way I knew I was delivered was by my changed attitude about certain religious questions.

Sometimes people foam at the mouth, writhe, and scream when they experience deliverance. I had no

physical manifestations, and yet, I knew that I had experienced deliverance.

106. FOOLISH GENEALOGIES.

he name Fluitt is an unusual name. I was always proud to have that name. W hen I was a boy,

visiting with my grandparents in Columbia, Louisiana, our fam ily was a solid family with an

honorable name. They were not wealthy. Many of them were farmers, but they were proud and

hardworking.

My father was a paymaster accountant for a large construction company and we moved to

various jobs all over the United States. By the time I graduated from college I had attended 23

schools.

Columbia was a quiet little southern town on the banks of the Ouachita River in northeast Louisiana, but

in spite of it's small size, it was as grand to me as San Francisco.

As I grew up, I was called on to keep many of the family records and pictures.

After I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1971, I read scripture with an insatiable desire. However,

if there was any thing other than the Bible that still pulled on me, it was a desire to study the genealogy of my

name.

I made trips to many graveyards and took pictures of the tombstones of my forefathers. I even made a

trip back to Kingstree, South Carolina, to study the courthouse records on Samuel Fluitt. Samuel Fluitt was

the progenitor of all of the Fluitts in the United States. He had arrived by boat in 1774 from Alteringham,

England. He started in poverty but grew to prominence and was my grandfather nine generations removed.

The Lord was speaking to my heart in a very still voice, "I am your father. Do not waste time with foolish

genealogies." I heeded this W ord most of the time, but in m oments of weakness m y old desire would return

to gather some more genealogical information.

One day in the courthouse in Monroe, Louisiana, I found a very old deed of the first Fluitt to purchase

acreage in Ouachita Parish in the m id 1800's.

It seemed harmless enough to do just a little more investigation. After all, I was not going to waste tim e

on this. I would do just enough that it would be like recreation.

After leaving the courthouse with a copy of the old deed, I went home.

About 11 p.m. I decided to retire for the night. The covers felt good as I prepared to go to sleep in my king-

size bed. A thought hit me, "I think I'll read the Bible awhile before going to sleep."

After turning the lamp on, I reached for my Bible, but changed my mind and picked up the old deed. The

old handwriting was beautiful. I thought, "Maybe I could practice my penmanship by copying the old style of

handwriting."

The next day Clarice called me at work. "I want to talk to you about the letter you wrote last night."

"I did not write a letter."

"Yes, you did, and you had better com e home and read it."

Upon the insistence of my wife, I returned home and read the letter. As I recognized my own handwriting,

I viewed it in disbelief. This was not just s trokes of practicing penmanship but actually a demonic message!

The letter read in part, "We like this house, and we do not like that other Spirit that lives here. Don't make

us leave."

I had accepted Christ as m y savior, been born again, fellow shipped God, witnessed m any m ighty

miracles; and yet these spirits had made entrance by my involvem ent with genealogies.

Those denom inations that insist that believers do not need deliverance are denying a basic Bible

provision. God provides cleansing through deliverance. Anyone may observe the temptations, sin, and even

obsession that are so obvious in the lives of many believers today. The Lord wants us to do

more than observe the problem but present Jesus Christ as the answer.

107. DELIVERANCE AND THE DEVIL ARE NOT JOKING MATTERS.

everal of us in the Monroe prayer groups in the early seventies planned a trip to Montreat, North

Carolina, to attend a leadership conference. We left Monroe in a van and were praising God and

enjoying each other's company.

W e took a motel room in one of the cities en route. W e left the motel long enough to eat supper

and returned about 10 p.m.

One of the men in the bathroom was brushing his teeth when he became choked swallowing

some water.

As he coughed, trying to clear his throat, another man jokingly cried out, "Come out of him, Devil, in Jesus

Name."

W e were all am azed, as the m an began m anifesting deliverance.

You see, even when we use the Lord's Name carelessly the power is still in that Name. What a lesson

we learned! A holy fear of God fell on all of us. We prayed and asked God's forgiveness for joking about such

serious matters.

108. TWO SPIRITS SPEAKING AT THE SAME TIME.

larice and I were ministering to a lady one night; as we began to pray a spirit started speaking out

of her. This was most unusual because the unclean spirit was not talking to us or the lady but to

another unclean spirit.

One spirit would speak and then the other would respond. They were arguing with each other and

condemning each other. It really got strange when both unclean spirits started talking at the same

time. One set of vocal chords but two voices speak ing at the same time.

You may say that's hard to believe, but remember we are referring here to supernatural happenings.

The point of telling this story is to show that demons speak out of a person's vocal chords by controlling

them. Our job as ministers does not depend on rote prayer or imitating the methods of some other minister.

W e are operating in the stead (place) of Christ. W e should walk , talk, and act, as Jesus did.

Jesus did what He saw or heard the Father do (JOHN,5:19,30). The spirit realm is real. If we are going

to operate in the spirit realm , we are going to have to follow the instructions from the W ord of God.

The powers of Satan and his agents are far more powerful than our human capacities; however in light

of God's power in us, dem ons are like mere roaches. We have the power in Jesus' name to command them

to leave.

W hen a roach shows up in our home, we don't move out. No, we take dom inion over that creature.

Movies that portray the enemy's power as stronger than a believer's power are make-believe and a fantasy

of the Devil. the Bible reveals that rulers of darkness tremble at the mention of the Name of the Lord.

The human body is the temple of the Lord. The temple of the human body is compared in scripture to the

natural temple. It was in the synagogue (temple) that Jesus confronted trembling demonic powers. The

unclean spirits cried out in fear:

MAT 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God?

art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

If unclean spirits and Jesus were present in the natural temple at the same time, it follows that the Spirit of

God and unclean spirits may occupy the human temple at the same time.

Another thought concerning the Lord occupying the same space as demons is implied in Psa.138:8:

PSA 139:8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

The above scripture reveals that God's Spirit is in Hell. In fact, there is no place that God is not.

It is not the will of God for us to house unclean spirits, and for this reason we should cast anything out of

ourselves that is not of Christ. If you lose your temper utter ungodly words, that's an indication that you need

to say, "You foul spirit of rage, temper, and cursing, I comm and you to come out of me in the Name of Jesus."

Many people will rebut by saying, "That's not the Devil; that's just your flesh (or the old man) acting up."

May I remind you to read:

EPH 2:2 W herein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince

of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience. (3) Among whom also we

Page 24: GOOD QUESTI ONS AND GREAT ANSWERSalbenterprises.com/eaglesaints/ENCweb/books_pdf/102 DELIV... · 2009. 12. 5. · -1-GOOD QUESTI ONS AND GREAT ANSWERS: The questions in this syllabus

all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind;

and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

According to the above scriptures the spirit of disobedience is at work in the flesh and in the unrenewed

mind.

By understanding that the spirit of disobedience is at work in the flesh and in the mind, we should take

dominion by binding and casting out this spirit. W e are not helpless; we have the power to bind and loose!

Mentioning the blood of Jesus puts fear in the heart of the adversary.

Let us purpose in our hearts to center our conversation around Jesus and scripture.

I usually avoid those Christians who become obsessed with the Devil, evil, or deliverance.

The Lord Himself said:

LUK 10:17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us

through thy name. (18) And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. (19) Behold, I give

unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall

by any means hurt you. (20) Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather

rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

109. DELIVERANCE IN CAIRO EGYPT.

ittle did Clarice and I realize that by being prayed over to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit that

God would open the world to us in ministry.

The Lord has made it possible for us to travel to distant lands in His name. Some of the places

include Hawaii, New Zealand, Africa, Jordan, Israel, Egypt, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore,

Malaysia, Thailand, The United Kingdom (England), Pakistan and others.

In 1983 Clarice and I were m inistering to 700 Egyptian m inisters in Cairo. Most of these

Presbyterian pastors had come in from all over Egypt.

During the exodus, Israel was blessed with God's Word while Egypt turned a deaf ear and suffered His

judgment.

It is ironic to me; 3500 years after the exodus, the God of Israel is reversing His role of blessings. He

is now blessing a remnant of Egyptians for receiving the revelation of the Son of God, while the Jews as a

nation have refused the revelation of Jesus.

God now sees the Egyptians believers as spiritual Israel.

Truly, God's ways are far beyond our ways.

Just when we think that we have everything figured out, the Lord opens a new vista of understanding.

In this ministry to the 700 Presbyterian preachers, one of the few women in attendance started disrupting the

meeting with obvious demonic activity.

Now it would seem that in a room full of preachers, mostly men, that the Lord would have had a m an to

cast the devil out of this woman. You guessed it! God once again chose an unlikely candidate to get the job

done.

Clarice moved off the platform and through the crowd. The woman was screaming and thrashing around.

None of the men were able to get hold of her.

Instead of handling her with a strong arm, Clarice just pulled the woman to her in an embrace. W ithout

a word, peace fell on the lady and everyone witnessed how the anointing of love brought deliverance.

This unusual type of deliverance cam e forth with an em brace of love.

The only other instance like th is happened m any years ago in Monroe, Louisiana.

In this case a woman had drawn blood on several people by scratching them, but again, the Godly

embrace melted away all hostility.

110. THE LADY WHO WAS TORMENTED BY A FAMILIAR SPIRIT OF HER DEADHUSBAND.

er voice was pitiful on the telephone. "Can't you help m e," she said? (Let's call her Mary.)

As I continued to visit with Mary on the phone, her story unfolded and seemed stranger than

fiction.

Her husband had been very violent and had been beating her up.

One day she fled from the house and locked herself in her car. As she started the car and put

it in reverse, the husband dived onto the hood and cursed her through the window.

W ith a jolt the car bo lted backward. The man was thrown off the hood of the autom obile. He

hit the ground with a thud. He just lay there ... no movem ent at a ll.

Mary was in shock! As neighbors gathered around, Mary was told that the fall from the automobile had

killed him.

After the funera l, demonic torment continued.

Before the husband died, he had a way of going into the bathroom late at night and going through a

certain noisy routine.

Mary said, "Every night, just like when he was living, the sounds in the bathroom continue."

Night after n ight, Mary was tormented by sounds from the bathroom. She could hear the medicine cabinet

opening, running water and squeaking doors. The sounds were continuing as if the husband were still alive

and in the house.

"Can you help me?" she asked over the phone?

"Yes, we can help you," I answered, "but I will need to pray with m y team before I call you back."

Our team made an appointment to meet with Mary and her children. I told her that the tormenting sounds

would stop as soon as we were able to take dominion over the familiar spirit. We also requested to walk

through the house and point out anything that did not glorify God. She would have to make a decision if she

wanted to get rid of them.

The Lord blessed our ministry and Mary chose to destroy many books that were not suitable for a

Christian home. Mary has kept in touch, and the noises and torments of the familiar spirit have stopped.

111. A CHILD WITH A SPIRIT OF MURDER.

he prayer meeting was over in our home, and most of the people were leaving. It was odd to see

the people flowing out and three persons making their way through the crowd to come in.

These latecomers were some grandparents bringing their grandson in for prayer.

About eight of us went into a private room to pray over the young man who appeared to be

about twelve.

W e prayed for a few mom ents and Clarice said, "Come out you spirit of murder." I was surprised

to hear Clarice call out a spirit of murder. I know that we can have spirits possess and obsess

us without them having actually manifested themselves, but somehow the naming of this spirit

was the last thing that I had expected.

The young man's body posture changed and he scowled at Clarice with obvious hatred. He folded his

arm s and glared. Realizing the young man was uncooperative, we concluded with a prayer.

One of the men that was walking down the hall with me was a local business executive, and he said, "Do

you know who that little boy is?"

As I listened, my friend identified the boy as the subject of a recent newspaper article. (Let's call the young

man Mark). The newspaper had not identified Mark but had written a lengthy article about boys firing rifles at

each other on the Ouachita river.

Mark had fired his 22 rifle at a rubber raft and had killed another lad. (Let's call him Jimmy.)

Before Jimmy was killed, two other men and I had witnessed to him about the love of Jesus. Jim my had

listened to us and indicated that he knew the Lord.

After the grandparents left our house with Mark, I did not expect to see him again.

A few months later Mark robbed a service station and was sentenced to Louisiana Training Institute just

south of Monroe. Mark's father was a respected professor at our local University. One day the professor

called me and requested that I look after his son.

He said that he was moving his family to Colorado and that he would send for Mark as soon as he was

released. The fam ily wanted to prepare a place where their son could get a fresh start.

This was prior to my full-time ministry, and my real estate operation kept m e quite busy. One day my

secretary paged me with a call from LTI.

Mark was requesting that I com e to LTI. He said that he needed to see me im mediately.

I dropped my work and made the ten-minute drive to the institution. For the first time in our relationship,

Mark appeared glad to see me.

As we walked across the ball field, a large crowd of young m en were playing various sports all around us.

"What was so urgent, Mark, that you needed to see me?"

"Brother Fluitt, I have received a revelation that Jesus is my Lord and I want you to pray with me for

salvation."

"Oh, that's great, Mark! Let's find a quiet p lace, and I will be glad to pray with you."

"No, I want to pray right here."

"Are you sure, Mark? There 's a lot of activity on this ball field."

It was incredible. Mark was dropping to his knees right there in front of all those young men and starting

to pray.

By the time I lead him through a sinner's prayer, we both had tears running down our faces.

This mom ent is one of the most precious in all of my spiritual m em ories. As I prepared to leave that day,

Mark gave me a little man holding a sword that he had welded together of bolts and nuts. I still cherish that

little man, as it is a rem inder of Mark 's deliverance. It's true, "Nothing is too hard for God (Gen.18:4)."

The last letter I received from Colorado stated, "Mark is doing great."

Thank you Jesus for allowing m e the privilege of m inistering to both Mark and Jimmy .... I expect

to see both of them in Heaven.

112. THE HOLY GHOST TELEPHONE CALL.

everal years after Clarice and I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, we were pleased to have

Dave Fisher com e by our hom e for a visit.

W e were all sitting at the kitchen table, enjoying the reunion, when the phone rang. As I continued

to face Dave and Clarice, I nonchalantly said, "Hello."

A voice came over the phone, "This is (Let's call him Dan Smith.) Dan Smith. I am a minister of

the gospel and in the midst of a deliverance. The lady who I am praying over, has a spirit of suicide

but I am not able to complete the deliverance. The spirits are mocking me, so when I prayed the

Holy Ghost said, 'Call the Fluitts of Monroe.' Do I have the right number?"

As I cupped my hand over the telephone to silence it, I threw my head back and had a good laugh.

Dave said, "Who is it?"

I don't know, someone named Dan Sm ith says he called us by the Holy Ghost .... he is in the middle of

a deliverance and needs help."

"Is that Dan Sm ith of Milwaukee?" asked Dave.

"No, I believe that this is som e one right here in Monroe playing a joke."

I was utter ly amazed as Dave reached for the phone and started to talk to the other party. "Hello Dan, th is

is Dave Fisher. Do you remember m e? I m et you some years ago ... I used to travel and minister with Dwayne

Stencil."

All of a sudden Clarice said, "Give me the phone .... Dan, write down the names of the spirits that I will

give you and call them out in the same order."

Dan wrote down, and called out the spirits in the same order that Clarice listed them. W hen he called out

suicide, the root demon, it screamed and departed. Torment gave way to peace. Dan knew the deliverance

was com plete and thanked us for assisting him .

Dan was a key minister and opened the door for us to evangelize to thousands of souls.

113. A MANIAC IN MILWAUKEE.

larice and I had just preached to a Milwaukee congregation and were leaving the church about

eleven o'clock. As I approached the parking lot, a very strange man was intimidating two ladies.

His back was to me, and as I approached, I noticed his black m otorcycle boots and strange clothes.

W ithout any forethought of what I might say, the Holy Ghost spoke out of me, "I bind you, you spirit

of antichrist." The man pivoted around like a top and with demonic eyes blazing, laughed and said,

"W e know about you, down in Louisiana."

As the man walked away and faded into the night, I thought, "Yes Devil, I bet you know me and also all

the rest of God's redeemed believers."

The devil's troops should have your name on their list of enemies. The adversary fears you, considering

that the power of God that resides in you, is far superior to his power.

114. CONCLUSION ... WORDS OF WISDOM AS TO THE MINISTRY OFDISCERNMENT AND DELIVERANCE.

on't become obsessed with the subject of demons. Remember that the Bible reveals a little here and

a little there about deliverance. You will not find an entire book on deliverance in the Scriptures, so

keep your mind stayed on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Bind and cast out demons as a natural part of your Christian walk. Remember, the power in you

is greater.

LUK 10:20 Notwiths tanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather

rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Stay in balance. Don't become obsessed about demons, but on the other hand, cast them out as you go.

Study the life of Jesus ... what he did ... go and do!
