GOOD SHEPHERD PARISH CONNECT FROM HOME KEEP YOUR FAITH ALIVE Greetings everyone! is newsletter is a great giſt for us to be able to reach out to your homes at this time. We miss you all very much and long for the day when we can return to celebrating our faith back in our parish church. Since the coronavirus pandemic erupted, I have spoken to several of our parishioners who share about how they miss our time together at Good Shepherd Parish. A parish community is truly a “home away from home”, it is our spiritual home, and so that yearning to be together in the physical space of our church is a very real and genuine feeling. But I would not want us to miss out on the special graces that God would like to offer us in the difficult time of this pandemic. First, I would encourage everyone to take advantage of this time of quarantine to strengthen our relationship with Jesus. In the history of our faith, whenever the Church had to retreat into her homes due to persecution, illnesses or other reasons, the people’s interior lives of prayer were strengthened. Let us not be afraid to take some extra time in silent prayer with the Bible, Rosary or other devotionals. God may be about to give us all a ‘spiritual growth spurt’ during the confinement. Second, become an “online missionary”. If you have internet capabilities and are joining us on our Facebook page, website, or YouTube channel, share these sites with family and friends who may really benefit from the hope-filled messages and faith-based activities that we share online. If you don’t have the internet, please share the good news of our parish’s online presence and ministry with family and friends when you are talking to them on the phone. Invite them to join us on online, and then to share with you what God is doing in our community. Finally, let us continue to reach out to those in need, especially those struggling with the coronavirus and those working on the frontlines. Pray for them each day, and perhaps call somebody you know who may be feeling alone, ill, or working in essential services and simply offer them words of encourage, support and a prayer. “e LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.” Jesus, the Good Shepherd, is going to sustain all of us through this time. KEEP YOUR FAITH ALIVE

Greetings everyone! This newsletter is a great gift for us to be able to reach out to your homes at this time.

“The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.” Jesus, the Good Shepherd, is going to sustain all of us through this time.

With my prayers,Fr. Patrick

My Jesus,

I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.

I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.

Never permit me to be separated from You.

An Act of Spiritual Communion

Amen.HOW TO CONNECT SOCIAL MEDIA
