Goodwill empowers people with disadvantages and different abilities to earn and keep employment through individualized programs and services.

Keshaun was challenged by a learning disability and school did not come easy. He enjoyed an auto body repair class in high school but it was not enough to earn him a career in that field.

Quest Academy helped Keshaun identify where he could go with his interest in cars and the skills he had already acquired. Show Time Auto was the perfect fit for an internship.

Keshaun was quiet and withdrawn when he came to Quest Academy. The effort he put into the program and the confidence he gained helped him grow as a person.

He credits Quest Academy with teaching him the importance of a strong work ethic. Keshaun’s hard work and diligence earned him a full time job at Show Time Auto after graduation. His employer has been so impressed with Keshaun that he was promoted to a manager at their second location!

Brandon entered Quest Academy with keyboarding skills that were considered above entry level. Brandon had some difficulties with speech and he struggled to effectively communicate his talent to prospective employers. During his Quest internship, Brandon learned to interact professionally with his supervisors and co-workers.

After graduation, Brandon became a Goodwill client and worked with a Career Navigator. During that time he turned down several jobs that did not fit his career path. Eventually he found and earned a full time job, with benefits, in his chosen field. The confidence he gained through Quest empowered him to seek the career for which he knew he was qualified.

“What I learned from Quest Academy is you should never give up and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do what you really want to do.”

“I learned how to express myself in an interview, and what employers are really looking for. I learned to sell myself and my eyes were opened to all the possibilities.”

“The Goodwill Quest Academy program was life changing for our son. This program also changed our family. Having hope to find some kind of employment for him, we learned from Goodwill it could be a reality.”

Louise, Tim’s Mom
