1 President’s Report — Chris Gifford Hello, Goodyear Ski Club Members! Spring is here, and I hope you are all getting outside to enjoy the warmer weather. The Club has several events planned for the off season listed in this month’s newsletter. Please do your best to join us for an activity or two. As most of you already know, the April meeting marked the time for elections for open board positions. I’m glad to report that we now have four new officers and that not a single nay vote was cast against any of the candidates. Jim Kovach Officer in Charge of Marketing . . . Judy Ripple I would like to personally thank all four for stepping up when GSC needed them. We cannot survive unless members do that consistently. Let’s do our best as a club to support the board by helping out when volunteers are needed. Again, without that we cannot continue as a club. It has been a pleasure to serve these last four years as president. I want to thank everyone who helped out during that time – it made the job that much easier. As always, be safe, enjoy the off season, and be ready for some great skiing next year. — Chris Note from the President-Elect Well, I guess officially, I become the club president at the May business meeting. First; I wish to thank Chris (and Teresa), Betty, Linda and Rita for all of their contributions to the club these past years. As always, the club’s events can only be successful with the help and participation of its members. Judy and I thoroughly enjoyed the Winter Park and Banff ski trips this year. I’m looking forward to working with the other officers on coming events and next season’s ski trips.
