A computer program that:
• Indexes Internet files/documents• Facilitates search by keyword queries• Returns results ranked by relevance

Google Customised Search Engine:
• A service released by Google in 2006
• Allows users to create their own search engine
HOW GCSE WORKS?
The designer of GCSE decides the:
• Name & Description of the search engine
• Sites it will index
• Colour schema
• Descriptors and Search refinements

Skill Requirements for GCSE
• Understand how search engines work
• Ability to evaluate & select quality websites
• Knowing how to use the GCSE interface
PLANNING
• Involves defining the mission, vision, goals and objectives of the GCSE
