How Does It Work?Google Sky is made up of stitched

photographs of the heavens pieced together to make one giant navigation able database of the universe.

Basically, pictures are taken from a high-powered telescope and placed in a database which are then uploaded when using Google Earth in Sky mode

that you can plug in your address and the program shows you what the sky above your home looks like
