IntroductionThis document helps you to quickly and easily

implement Ve’s industry leading display advertising,

re-marketing and re-engagement platform into your

website using Google Tag Manager.

All our apps are deployed from a single line of JavaScript

code deployed across your site and a single line of pixel

code placed in the Thank you/Confirmation page – both

deployed within minutes using Google Tag Manager.

Create your Ve Tags

Implement the JavaScript and Pixel Tags

1. Create your VeTagsIf you are yet to receive your Ve tags, you can create your

own by visiting googletagmanager.ve.com and pressing

the “Get Started” button. (1)

Let’s set up your account. Fill in the requested details and

press “Next” button.(2)

Tell us about your company. Complete all the requested

details and click on “Next” button. Your company details

are used to generate a unique set of codes for your

website. (3)

How would you like to install your codes? If you would

like to install your codes manually through your Google

Tag Manager dashboard, select the second option:

Manual installation and click “Next” button. (4)

Your JavaScript and Pixel Tags will be sent to your

email. These tags can now be copied and pasted into

the Ve section within Google Tag Manager. (5)

2. Implement the JavaScript and Pixel TagCreate a new account and container or use an already

existing one. Please make sure you installed the Google

Tag Manager snippet. If you have not installed the

Google Tag Manager code into your website yet, here

you can fi nd the Quick Start Guide for doing that. (6)

Add a new tag by clicking on Add a new tag card. (7)

From Tag Confi guration section choose the Ve Interactive

JavaScript by scrolling through available tag types. (8)

Once you selected the Ve tag, you should paste the

generated Ve tag into JavaScript URL textbox. (9)

Add the default trigger “All Pages” to make this tag fi re. (10)

Enter a Tag Name and Save the Tag Confi guration and the

fi ring trigger to have Ve tag correctly confi gured.(11)

Next step: you are going to add the Pixel tag. Follow the

steps explained above to add a new tag. Setup the new

added tag by choosing the Ve Interactive Pixel. (12)

Copy and paste the Pixel code from install your code page

into Pixel URL textbox. (13)

Set up the trigger from Triggering section by adding a new

Page View trigger. (14)

This trigger is going to fi re only on the Order Complete

Page. Select the following conditions to happen like

this: Trigger type -> Page View and this trigger fi res

on Some Page Views if the Page URL contains the

order confi rmation unique identifi er. The last textbox

represents the Order confi rmation/Thank You page

URL unique identifi er. E.g. “confi rm/order-complete”

if the URL is “www.myboutiqueshop.co.uk/confi rm/

order-complete?id=75201”. By fi lling this input, the pixel

should fi re on the pages that contain that value in the

URL. Enter a trigger name and save it. (15)

Review the tag section, enter a Tag Name and click

Save. (16)

Once you’ve added or edited tags, triggers, and variables in

a workspace, you’ll need to publish in order to make your

additions and changes live on your website.

Click on the Submit button at the top right-hand side of

the screen. The Submit Changes screen will appear, with

options to publish the container and save a version of your

container. Select Publish and Create Version if it is not

already selected. (17)

Review the Workspace Changes section to see if everything

looks as expected. Enter a Version Name and Version

Description. (18)

Click Publish. The Version Summary will be displayed as the

Tag and Pixel have been published. (19)18

3. Finish the InstallationFinally, you can check if the configuration is done

correctly by returning to Ve Wizard and pressing

“Test connection”. (20)
