MESSAGE FROM OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY
Principal’s Message 2012 has been a year to be proud of. Achievements include: The Opening of Birrang -‐ Science Centre for Excellence, Stage 2 of our refurbishments, the new Canteen, celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Goulburn Schools' Strike, Parish celebrations of 150 years since the first Mass was celebrated in Goulburn, turning of the first sod on our Trade Training Centre as well as student successes across all curriculum areas. We also underwent a highly successful Registration this year. This external review of the College, which happens every 6 years, acknowledged a "welcoming and professionally focused place of learning" with "delightful students" and dedicated staff. What more need one say? Community Council Message At the beginning of this year the College moved from a Board model of governance to a Community Council. The purpose behind this decision was to engage greater parental support of College initiatives and I am very pleased to report that the decision has been a good one. The working parties we have set up as a part of this have been working exceptionally well and we have enjoyed far greater parent input than in the past. Those working parties include the Sport, College Identity, Ag Farm and Extra-‐curricula Working Parties. I am particularly grateful to members of the Community Council for their commitment, enthusiasm and energy and to those parents and students who have participated.
