ABOUT GRC2015 CONFERENCEThe GRC2015 conference features inspirational leaders exploring topics across the change management spectrum at an organisational and individual level. GRC2015 provides an exciting opportunity for networking and professional development and exposure for commercial partners to consolidate in the GRC marketplace.

In keeping with our history of setting the agenda for risk and compliance professionals in the Asia Pacific region, The GRC Institute is proud to welcome you to our 19th annual GRC2015 conference to be held in Melbourne on 28th, 29th & 30th October 2015.

This year’s conference will focus upon the role GRC professionals play as change management agents within their organisations.

Back by popular demand we will be running a change management simulation as well as a series of breakout sessions.

Along with our gala dinner, graduation ceremony and annual awards presentation our GRC2015 conference again promises to be the must attend event of the 2015 conference season.

David Morrison joined the Australian Army in 1979. In 2010 he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in the Australia Day Honours List for distinguished service to the Australian Army in the fields of training and education, military strategic commitments and force structure and capability; in particular, as Commander Australian Defence College, Head Military Strategic Commitments and Deputy Chief of Army.

Morrison was promoted to lieutenant general in June 2011, and assumed the post of Chief of Army. His tenure in the role extended to June 2015.

Retired from active duty, Matina is highly decorated with numerous distinctions, honours awards and medals. Between a busy schedule of writing, speaking and consulting, Matina also volunteers her time as the Ambassador of the Australian Peacekeepers and Peacemakers Veterans’ Association, Ambassador of the Australian Peacekeeper Memorial Project, and as a member of the ANZAC Centenary Commission.

Matina is a published author with her memoir ‘Caught in the Crossfire’.

A remarkable woman, a remarkable life, a remarkable story.

Paul took up the position of CEO of AUSTRAC in November 2014. Prior to his appointment to AUSTRAC Paul was the acting CEO of the Australian Crime Commission for almost 3 years.

Mr Jevtovic is an experienced investigator, intelligence professional and crime fighter. His 33 years in policing and intelligence operations will activate a new direction for AUSTRAC.

These roles followed a 28-year career with the Australian Federal Police. Mr Jevtovic was awarded the Australian Police Medal in 2007.

Michael is an internationally recognised pundit on governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC). With 21 years of experience. He is a sought-after keynote speaker, author, and adviser and is noted as the ‘Father of GRC’ — being the first to define and model the GRC market in 2002 while at Forrester.

Michael has contributed to U.S. Congressional reports and committees, and currently serves on the Leadership Council of the OCEG and chairs the OCEG Technology Council. Prior to founding GRC 20/20 Research, Michael was a Vice-President and ‘Top Analyst’ at Forrester Research, Inc. OCEG has recognised him as an OCEG Fellow for his contributions and advancement of GRC practices around the world.

GRC2015 CONFERENCE PROGRAMWEDNESDAY 28TH OCTOBER

1000–1600 RISK MANAGEMENT FOR PUBLIC SECTOR AGENCIES & DEPARTMENTS

This complementary pre-conference workshop has been created specifically for those compliance and risk practitioners who either work in government departments/agencies (at all levels) or have exposure to these organisations.

During the course of the workshops a number of key risks faced by government agencies will be explored in a case study format. These case studies will be used to:• Develop a Bow Tie analysis showing Root

Causes, Interim Events and Final Impacts• Map key controls over the risk to the Bow Tie• Carry out a risk assessment• Describe a fictitious incident around the risk• Identify some key risk indicators for the risk• Develop a control test for one of the key controls

over the risk• Consider if there are any external compliance

requirements related to the risk and if so identify an example obligation

• Create an example weakness / issue with the risk and what a suggested action might be to rectify the weakness.

In this workshop participants will:• Gain an understanding of how the brain’s

mental models and mindset creates dangerous assumptions, blind spots and biases

• Learn how to identify these biases, the potential impacts, and the consequent decision making traps in both themselves and their stakeholders

• Develop an approach to avoid the traps and mitigate their impacts, to help ensure more effective and sustainable risk and compliance outcomes, particularly in the context of change.

To obtain the early bird discount, payment must be received by 30th September 2015. Your registration is unique and cannot be shared amongst colleagues.

GRCI reserves the right to admit only officially registered delegates.

CPD POINTSA delegate will be awarded 7 CPD points per day (excludes social events).

PRIVACY POLICYA delegate list will be distributed at the event. The list will contain only your name, title, company and state. If you do not wish to have your name included, please opt out by ticking the box on the registration page.

CANCELLATION POLICYAll cancellations, alterations or transfers must be notified in writing to the GRCI at [email protected] Cancellations

received on or before 30th September 2015 will be refunded in full, less the cancellation fee to cover administration costs (please visit www.grcconference.com.au for cancellation fee charges). No registration refunds will be made after this date.

As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another member of your organisation. Members can only substitute with another member. If a transfer is to a non-member, the registration cost difference will be charged. Please note that registration refunds will not be granted based on inability to obtain a visa. If delegates are unsure of their ability to obtain a visa we recommend they investigate travel insurance.
