One day district level workshop on RUSA – IDP preparation was organised on
13-08-2014 for the RUSA coordinators of all the government colleges of Karwar
district.
IQAC has arranged one day district level workshop and awareness program on
Rajeev Gandhi loan scholarship on 26-09-2014 for students and coordinators of all
the government colleges of Karwar district.
One day district level workshop on Choice Based Credit System - CBCS was
organised on 7th March 2015 for principals and IQAC coordinators of all the
colleges of Karwar and all government colleges of the district.
IQAC organised an institution level one day workshops on Faculty Sensitisation
for Autonomous status for teaching and non teaching faculty of the college on 30th
July 2014
IQAC, in collaboration with Sri Satya Sai Samiti, Karwar, has arranged a lecture
on Inspired Hearts … Empowering Future on 15-09-2014
On 20-1-2015, 01-02-2015 and 02-02-2015 one day workshop was arranged for
out going students on the topic, Empowering towards Employability, with invited
lectures and hands on sessions.
IQAC conducted college logo competition for students and faculty members. Prize
winning logo is adopted as the logo of the institution with slight modifications

On 2nd
October 2014 all the students along with the college NSS and NCC unit participated in
campus cleaning drive.
NSS volunteers have participated in “Svachchata Abhyan” organised by District
administration Karwar from 06 – 10 – 2014 to 11 – 10 – 2014
Red Cross Youth Wing and NSS have jointly arranged blood donation camp, blood grouping
of fresh students on 20.02.2014.
Literary and debating forum has arranged district level essay writing, debating and painting
competition on the eve of world tourism day(25 – 09 – 2014) and international voters day
(25 – 01 – 2015)
On 19 – 03 – 2015 an interaction program between renowned Kannada writers, critics,
readers and students was arranged by literary and debating forum.
Women cell has organised a folk song program with legendary women of Kannada folk song
Sukri Bomma Gouda and women students.

Mentor system has been introduced by assigning around 30 students to one teacher
Special Classes and Remedial Coaching has been arranged for academically weaker
students
ICT technology has been utilised in the teaching learning process like, using LCD
projectors, over head projectors, Educational videos, charts etc
IQAC and career guidance and counselling have conducted workshops on career
guidance and personality development
Naipunya Nidhi classes have been implemented
Each class has a class teacher who is guide the students in any academic issues and
also he is the counsellor of the class
College election is conducted to orient the students towards our nations election and
voting system: Each student votes for his/her class representatives(CR’s) and all of
these CR’s together will elect the secretories for the different forums.
Eco-club of the college conducted competitions like skits, painting and poetry on
environment to create awareness among the students
