The Secretary of Defense works along side with civilian and military advisors to create security policies for our National Security. Then after working with the advisors, the Secretary of Defense recommends these policies to the President.

More recently, in financial news, the Secretary of Treasury is responsible for making sure as a country we don’t slip into another recession.
