Claremont Private Hospital offers everything you would expect from your local independent hospital including outpatient clinics, imaging and diagnostics, treatment and surgery for a wide range of medical specialities. We work with experienced consultants and other specialists, many of whom also have substantive posts within the NHS. All our nurses are fully qualified and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
So, whether you are referring an inpatient, day case or outpatient you can be assured they will be cared for by a team of professionals who are dedicated to ensuring they receive the best possible treatment.
We are currently experiencing very short waiting times so your patients can see a named consultant in 2 – 4 weeks and have their procedure in 8 – 14 weeks.

How to make a referral Referring a patient to Claremont Private Hospital for an outpatient consultation, diagnostic test or treatment is easy by following these simple steps:
NHS e-referralsYour patients can book appointments for services available at Claremont Private Hospital under the scheme by using the online Patient Booking website.
1. Patients should visit the e-referral website at: www.ebs.ncrs.nhs.uk
2. Patients must log in using their date of birth and reference number and password supplied.
3. Patients wishing to use our services must select ‘Aspen’ and then choose ‘Claremont’ from the drop-down list.
Referrals can also be made by yourself enabling you to choose the date and location of their appointment before they leave your GP practice.

Private/self-pay patient referralsClaremont Private Hospital is accredited by and has direct settlement agreements with most of the major private medical health insurance companies including BUPA and AXA-PPP and successfully undertakes insurer audits on a regular basis.
To make a referral for a patient with private medical insurance please follow the steps for self-pay private patients.
Self-pay referrals1. Simply free-fax private referrals to our secure
fax on 0800 181 4024 and your patient will be contacted ASAP.
2. Please remember that referral letters contain sensitive patient data and you must adhere to GDPR regulations. Please ensure you use the secure email address above and do not send the letter via our website.
Self-pay payment options
Fixed price packages
We offer fixed price packages for self-pay patients wherever possible so patients know exactly what they will pay before treatment.
To make an appointment, patients should call our appointments team on 0114 263 2114.

Funding options
Through our partner Chrysalis Finance we offer approved patients a range of funding options (subject to status) to pay for one-off private treatments.

Diagnostic referralsYou can refer patients for a wide range of diagnostic imaging including x-ray, ultrasound, MRI and CT.
To make a referral, please download a referral form from www.claremont-hospital.co.uk/referral and fax it to 0114 230 7219 or give the completed form to your patient to make their own appointment by calling 0114 263 2110.
Physiotherapy referralsWe have an expert team of physiotherapists to treat a wide range of conditions including back and neck pain, joint pain, limb and muscle conditions, sports injuries and post-surgery rehabilitation.

Evening CPD education events
We offer evening educational events to GPs each year. Our events are put together with the assistance of our Private GPs with key and relevant topics. All our events are delivered by an expert Claremont Consultant.
Registration is from 7pm with a light buffet and the lecture is 7.30-8.30pm with a CPD certificate issued at the end.
CPD lunch and learn
We have a host of expert Consultant speakers at Claremont with a wide range of specialties who can come out to local surgeries or if you prefer, we can host your session in our training room at Claremont. These learning sessions will last for up to 1 hour, including a tasty buffet delivered by us, a Consultant presentation and time for Q&As. All practice and medical staff are welcome to attend and will be issued with a CPD certificate.
Surgery with the surgeon
A unique opportunity to see a surgical procedure in theatre. Would you like the chance to step into a Claremont operating theatre and observe an operation with one of our expert Consultant surgeons? Most specialties are available with daytime and evening sessions. A CPD certificate will be issued.
