CUSTOMER SUCCESS STORYElectrical Co-op cuts 8% of mileage and 1/2 hour per driver/day

A medium sized electrical cooperative customer of ours

has 30 vehicles and has been a customer since 5/2010.

After implementing GPS Insight to hold drivers more

accountable and dispatch more efficiently, they reduced

their yearly mileage for their 30 vehicles from 432,000

miles to 397,000 miles, for a yearly savings of 35,000

miles, or just over 8%. This reduction pays for 100% of the

GPS Tracking solution in fuel savings alone.

However, beyond that, they estimate that they save 30

minutes per driver per day in labor hours by curbing

“padding” of hours and by being more efficient. The

“loaded” cost of a Lineman is $100 per hour. Some of

these costs are fixed, but a good percentage is not, and

when you subtract this cost of labor, tax, insurance, and

other variable costs, this co-op has seen a significant

savings since choosing GPS Insight.

New User Preferences (coming soon)

We are introducing a new set of user preferences that

allow you to define things such as speeding and idling

thresholds, and stop time intervals for vehicle status.

Instead of using the default presets, you can enter

your own. For example, speeding is currently defined

as > 67MPH. You will now be able to change that

number to any reasonable value based on your fleet.

There are many more highly custom attributes you can

expect to see within GPS Insight such as:

• How granular the time options are in report pull-

downs (e.g. 1, 5, 10 minute intervals)

• Unit preference (currently Standard and Metric)

• Default values in reports and historical maps, etc.

• Color schemes with customer logos/colors

• You name it — anything customers ask us to change

regularly will be an option here

View Garmin Message/Stop Status within the Garmin Dashlet

View what time a message was received, read,

selected (Active), de-selected (Read Inactive

again), and deleted.

If more information is required, there is a

dedicated Garmin interface available which

gives more details and may be more suitable

than a dashboard dashlet for a full-scale dispatch

operation, depending on your requirements.

New Fuel Card/Fuel Capacity Reporting Capability

Now you can specify how big your fuel tanks are for

each vehicle, and be alerted whenever more than that

amount of fuel is pumped using that vehicle’s Wright

Express Fuel Card.

You can also check to see when a vehicle’s card is used

for non-fuel purchases, or when it’s used and the

vehicle isn’t actually present.

This is a great report for validating your drivers’ use of

your fuel cards, and to make sure they aren’t taking

advantage of them. Additionally, it is a useful report to

summarize your fuel purchases across your fleet.

EOBR / Hours of Service Solution (coming soon)

In Q2 of 2012, we will launch the GPS Insight EOBR solution, which has a touchscreen GPS tracking device and provides

completely DOT compliant Hours of Service / EOBR (Electronic On Board Recorder). While there are several large fleets

using the EOBR solution with full compliance, we are integrating the product into our overall GPS Insight fleet tracking

application, and will be looking for beta customers in the upcoming months. Please let us know if you are interested in

participating in this beta program or full production once we are ready to release it to the public in late Q2 2012.
