What is a GPS?

• GPS = Geographic Position System• The GPS is a device that uses the satellites

to identify your position on the earth• Your position is defined by Latitude (N)

and Longitude (E)• It means that you are North of the Equator

and East of Greenwich

•Press to enter highlighted options and to confirm messages

•Move Up/ Down or Right/ Left to move trough lists, highlighted fields, on screen buttons, icons

•Press and hold for two seconds to mark current locations as a waypoint

Getting StartedRemove the battery cover on the back of the unit. Turn the D-ring counter-clock-wise and pull away.

Insert batteries observing the polarity.

Reinstall the battery cover by turning the D-ring ¼ turn.

Getting ReadyPress and hold the POWER button to turn the GPS on.

•Confirm the saving with pressing the Click Stick while OK is highlighted.

The settings are done only one time; so you don’t need to change them…But you better check their correctness!

•GPS: Normal

•WAAS: Disabled

•Language: English

•Compass: Off

•Battery: NiCad

•Altimeter: Auto Calibration On

Set the following standards:

•Time Format: 12 Hour

•Time Zone: Kabul

•Daylight saving time:No.

Close again after finishing the time settings.

•Map Data: WGS 84

•Distance / Speed: Metric

•Elevation: Meters

Pressure: Milibars

Turning off

•Navigate back to the Setup Menu and turn the GPS off pressing the Power button.
