The history of the Elementary School in Megarchi. • The building is very old ,since 1883. • In the years that followed during the 60's in the courtyard of the school and in the southwest corner of the site a utility building for school students was built and then the soup kitchens. This building after the cessation of rations was restored to be used as teaching space, since the number of pupils had increased and was promoted to 4/thesio. In the year 1980, 3 classrooms were added along didaktiriou of 1883 to meet the needs of the same year set up in Annex fifth school in Trikala Megarchi, who worked in this area until June 1994, so too was attributed to the primary school. •

• BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE OPERATION OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN MEGARCHI. The history of the Elementary School in Megarchi.
• The building is very old ,since 1883.
• In the years that followed during the 60's in the courtyard of the school and in the southwest corner of the site a utility building for school students was built and then the soup kitchens. • It is worth noting that between 1959-1963 it worked as an Evening Elementary School for adults who wish to gain qualification. The number of pupils has varied at times. In 1906-7 it opened its doors with 45 students and every year it is increasing. The peak was in 1954-55 with 197 students, which was also the largest number of children seen at our school. Since then it started to decrease at the beginning slowly and then more rapidly due to internal and external migration to reach the dramatic situation of our day to work again with 45 students. Concluding the brief exposure operation of our school it is our obligation to acknowledge that it was the corner stone of the fundamental education of students who passed through the school, many of whom emerged scientists in various fields. The lesson which are tought to the studens are:
• Mathematics, Greek, English, lessons of sciences, Environmental Study, History, Religious Education , Geography, Health Education, Traffic Education, Music, many kinds of Art ( theatre and dramatizations, drawing, handicraft, plasticart e.t.c.) and gymnastic.
About our official days off • 28th of October ( National celebration )
• Two weeks for Christmas holidays
• One day ( Monday) for Carnival festival
• 25th of March (National celebration )
• Two weeks for Easter holidays
• One day for the Holly Spirit (50 days after Easter)
