G RADE 3 H OME N EWS QUIZ BEES! February was quite BEEsy with Quizzes! We had the Math, Spelling and Mandarin Quiz Bees. Students were so excited during the elimination rounds till the Final rounds as they were guessing and betting who were going to be the champions for this year’s different quiz bees. Thanks to the support of our parents and teachers for making the events suc- cessful. Till next year again! Congrats to all participants especially the Champions in Grade 3 class! Belinda for Math Quiz Bee, Giovanni for Spelling Bee and Regina for Mandarin Quiz Bee. We’re so proud of you all! GONG XI FA CAI! The Chinese New Year Celebration was well prepared by Ms. Lao Zi, our one and only Mandarin Teacher. Each grade level was assigned to prepare different presentations. On the day of the celebration, everyone wore Chinese Costume. The program started with a “Dragon Dance” at the field and they gave “ang pao” as it symbolizes good luck. It was followed then by the presentations of each grade level in the auditorium. Since it was a Chinese celebration, the students prepared poems, dance and songs in Chinese. There was also a fashion show about the different zodiac signs. All enjoyed the show. Well done, everyone! Spelling Bee Inter-School Competition The school joined the Sekolah Bogor Spelling Bee Inter‐ School Competition. The students underwent trainings to prepare them for the competition. The hard work paid off as some of them were able to make it to the Top 5 in the Final Round out of 500 students from different schools. Thanks to our parents who came to show their support and love to their children. Congrats to all who joined and especially those who made it to the Top 5. Keep up the good job!
