    Monday, 15th July, 2019※ For Fall semester 3rd round applicants, MUST finish online application and

    submit all required documents until June 14th 2019 18:00 KST.

    - The final result will be posted on the official website of the Office of International Affairs, CNU(http://international.jnu.ac.kr)

    - Announcement of Acceptance will be notified to individual via e-mail

    1 Admission Timetableㅣ

    ※ If there is any change with admission schedule, changed information will be updated at http://international.jnu.ac.kr.※ Each department can hold interview to evaluate language proficiency of each applier. If departments set up interview, each

    department will notice schedule to appliers in advance and the interview will be conduced, using SKYPE. ※ For Fall semester 3rd round applicants, VISA document for successful applicants will be issued at the beginning of August

    after finishing the enrollment. So, it’s open ONLY for the person who 1) can possess VISA or 2) currently reside in Korea and can change VISA status in Korea before semester begins (Sep. 2nd, 2019).

    ※ For Fall semester 3rd round applicants, appliers who finish online application and submit all documents between June 13th (Thur) and June 14th(Fri) will be on the candidate list. Appliers who finished online application but did not submit the document at 1st and 2nd round will NOT be on the candidate list.

    Program Educational Qualification Nationality

    Master's degree or

    Integrated Master's &

    Doctoral Degree

    - Those who have or are expected to receive a Bachelor's degree or its equivalents stipulated by regulations.

    - Those who apply integrated master’s & doctoral degree are allowed to apply for different departments/majors than their departments/majors they studied at undergraduate institution.

    ‐ The nationality of the applicant and the applicant’s parents must be non-Korean

    ‐ Overseas Korean nationals are eligible if they have completed elementary, secondary and post-secondary education overseas, that is equivalent to that of Korean education.

    Doctoral Degree

    ‐ Those who have or are expected to receive a Master's degree or its equivalent as stipulated by regulations. ‐ If applicants have a Master's degree with a different field of major from the major for which they are applying, they should receive a recommendation letter [Form 6]from the head professor of the department they are applying to.

    2 Eligibilityㅣ

    ※ Academic degrees from officially an authorized educational institution by the ministry of education in your own country are only recognized.

    ※ Those who will take academic degrees must submit their degree on Feb 2019 for 2019 spring semester admission and Aug 2019 for 2019 fall semester admission.

    ※ Applicants with no nationality or with a dual Korean citizenship are not eligible.※ Certificate(Test score) of certain language proficiency test is not a mandatory part of the application process, but applicants

    for some departments are required to have a certain level of language skills as specified below. Please refer to the Section 4 “Departments/Majors” to check language requirements of each department.

    3 Admission Criteriaㅣ

    A. Admission decisions are based on document screening; including the candidate’s academic achievements, personal accomplishments, and language proficiency. Depending on the policy of the

    department/major, a written examination, interview, or practical/performance test may be required.

    B. The important assessing factors for the document screening process that will be taken into consideration, are: academic performance such as Grade Point Average (GPA), level of completed

    courses, study plan, personal statement, etc.

    C. Procedure of Admissions 1) Regardless of the degree/program received or completed by the applicant, the acceptance selection will

    be made according to the order of applicants possessing the highest total score.

    2) If an applicant fails to meet the admission criteria, the application will no longer be further considered.

    Original or notarized copy 1) Certificates in other languages than English and Korean requires a notarized certificate translated in English or Korean 2) If you are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, you MUST submit an official document that indicates your expected date of graduation and the type of degree you will be awarded. 3) Applicants who have graduated from a Chinese university must submit 1.     TOPIK Scholarship

    - Benefit 1) TOPIK level 6 : Full tuition waiver for the first semester How to apply : Please submit a valid TOPIK certificate when you apply for admission. Kindly keep in mind that we do NOT accept expired certificates.

    Academic Excellence Scholarship

    - Benefit : Partial tuition waiver for the first semester- How to apply : You do not need to submit a special application form to apply for Academic Excellence Scholarship. All applicants will be considered for this scholarship.

    11 Important Notesㅣ

    A. You should write down and keep your application number for later use.B. Applicants who fail to submit the required documents by the specified dates, even if their online

    applications are completed, will be excluded from the screening process. C. All notifications during the application period (including the announcement of admitted applicants)

    shall be made on the CNU Admission website (http://international.jnu.ac.kr/).D. After your application is successful, you must submit official government verification of your degree

    (e.g.. Apostille, Notarization by embassy). Otherwise, your admission will be canceled.E. All documents should be in either Korean or English. Documents in other languages must be

    accompanied by notarized Korean or English translations.F. ①Students found to have forged or illegally changed any application documents or ②Students’

    academic background proves to be insufficient (e. g. completion of unaccredited university in the corresponding country) may have their admission to CNU revoked regardless of their academic status (before or after admission, including graduation).

    G. Applicants who have submitted a certificate of prospective (expected) graduation must submit the officially verified graduation certificate before the semester starts. Otherwise, the admission will be cancelled.

    H. If applicants write their contact information (such as email address, phone number, address, etc.) incorrectly, or they are out of contact, they are responsible for all the inconveniences resulting from those mistakes. (Applicants may even have their admission revoked)

    I. All the information including your NAME in English should match exactly as written in your passport. In addition, any change of the prospective department is not allowed after completing the online

    application.J. CNU does not reveal the evaluation records of each application process in any circumstances and the

    submitted documents will not be returned. (If it’s difficult to reissue the certificate such as graduation certificate or transcript, it’s recommend to

    submit Notarized document instead of original one)K. A bank balance statement (with a balance of more than USD 18,000) is required to be submitted to the Korean Consulate, Embassy, or the Immigration Office to get a student visa. All applicants should prepare the statement in addition to the Letter of Financial Guarantee (Form 7).L. Applicants are exempt from the English Language Proficiency Requirement if they meet any of the following criteria:

    1) By being a citizen or a national of the following 7 English‐speaking countries; Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Republic of South Africa, U.S.A.2) Completed a bachelor's degree or higher in one of the above English‐speaking countries
