They include a 1-4 years of full financial support. For further information see website. The existing study regulations changed and we explain in the following how…

The students of the LSM now have to be registered in the “Promotionsstudien-gang-LSM” for at least six semesters. If you have not done so yet, then contact Francisca.

Concerning the TAC Meeting guide-lines TAC members must foster interdis-ciplinarity (see table). Furthermore, a fourth TAC form for the completion of

the disputation is required to be handed into the LSM office.

Following complaints about the lecture attendances, the rule was made more flexible. The number of lectures we need to attend is still 40, but now the LSM students have to visit 15 LSM lectures, 15 external ones and can choose for the remaining 10.

The changes also include the opportu-nity for LSM students to practice their

retreatThe annual LSM retreat took place from

the 14th to 16th June in Wessobrunn, Studienhaus Gut Schönwag, near the picturesque Ammersee.

The topic of the Retreat was media training. The social activities included a brewery visit to Kloster Andechs, and a cooking workshop. Several team building activities were also organized by the social committee such as “rescue-your-egg”.

On the second day of the retreat, we invited professors to join us for the poster presentation, followed by the buffet prepared during the cooking workshop.

The posters were evaluated by all retreat participants and prizes for the best ones were attributed to Sandra Franz (1st), Peter Hagl (2nd), Renuka Kolli and Sybille Böhm (3rd). Likewise, the participants voted for the best perfor-mance in presentation and the winners of the prizes were Yuri Volpato (1st), Anna C. Erpf (2nd), Chris Mulholland (3rd) .

Dear all,I am looking for team members to take part in this year's XLETIX challenge (http://de.xletix.com/)!The challenge is a mud run ca. 6 km with 15 barriers, such as walls, ice water, nets and much more. It will take place at the 24th of June. I know there are some "hard core guys" in the LSM. I would like to attend this challenge with a LSM-team just for the fun of it and of course to prove that, "Yes, we can"!In principle your fitness level does not matter, I would be happy to organize some training sessions during lunch breaks or after hours to get us into shape. At the moment the attendance fee is 50 € (the earlier we register, the cheaper it is) but should we reach enough participants ca. 15 people the price also improves! Having said this, I would also like to bring to your attention that the LSM would support us financially in taking part as GO TEAM LSM.What better way to release stress than to have another challenge? If we can accomplish this, we WILL accomplish our THESIS!I look forward to your replies! You can send me a mail until 24th of February 2017 to [email protected].
