Graduation Day At Crespi Carmelite. A Catholic High School

Before the cermony the
graduates spend time hanging out and joking
around with each other to
lighten the mood. There
are many emotions running
through these guys as they prepare for their final
walk through the gym.
As the beginning of the ceremony draws nearer the graduates start walking into the Gym where the graduation will take place. Some family and friends hang out outside before they need to take their seats in the gym. Everyone is dressed in at least decent clothes all the way to suits and ties for those who feel the need to be formal.
Even the underclassmen are here working the door. They take the tickets that the graduates gave to their choice of ten people. If you leave the gym they hand you a ticket because they are not supposed to let anybody in without a ticket. It is a hard job because they don’t really have authority to stop anyone.
As the graduates walk in all the family members stand up trying to get pictures of their graduate as they process in. There is even someone videotaping the ceremony.
Excited parents look on as they listen to the speeches of students and faculty members. They talk about life’s journey and the brotherhood they created through the four years together at this Carmelite Boys High school.
The graduates are now having their names announced as they get their diplomas. There is a lot of excitement as some of the boys dance the cat daddy when they get on stage while others kneel as if doing the “Tim Tebow prayer”.
As people funnel out of the gym they try to find their respective graduate to congratulate, hug, and take pictures of them. It becomes a lot of people in a small area very quickly.
The graduates move out of the gym entryway and just around the corner so they can take pictures with each other and their close friends and family. This is the end of the graduation cermony but they certainly went home and partied after.
