•When is the simple past tense is used?

• The simple past tense describes actions or situations that began and ended in the past.• Example:

• I went to the mall yesterday.

Changing from affirmative to negative

1. Add (did not/ didn’t) after the subject.2. Change the verb tense from past to present.

Just add -ed 1.Delete the “y”.2.Add “ied”:

Irregular verbs don’t follow any rule.
