Box 251 Otsego, MI 49078 EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION GRANT APPLICATION The purpose of the Excellence In Education grant is to provide support for innovative Educational programs that are not ordinarily funded through the school budget. Deadline: Only grant applications mailed to the above address and postmarked by March 16,2012 or received by Deb Wesaw in Central Office by the same date will be considered. Finalists may be requested to present the application to the Foundation trustees. Criteria for award consideration may include the following: 1. Number of students affected in 1 year. 2. Length of use (how many years will it last) 3. Used in school system before 4. Requested and denied through school budget process 5. Applicant participated in OPSF fund raising project. 6. Application filed properly and received by deadline. 7. Historically, requested amounts from $50.00 to $750.00 have been considered first, partial grants may also be awarded after consultation with applicant. Grants will be awarded by letter no later than May 31,2012. Excellence in Education Grants are awarded to staff members of the Otsego Public Schools. Should the recipient accept a position elsewhere, items funded through Excellence in Education grants must remain the property of, and in possession of, the Otsego Public School District. Funding for grants not implemented by the end of the 2012-2013 school year will revert to the Foundation.
