Treasurer - Alice Kingsley
Gunning Gold Coordinator - John
Duncan
I just wanted to say a massive thank
you to our outgoing P&C executive,
you have all done an amazing job and
our students are certainly going to
benefit from all your hard work in a
few weeks when our court is finished.
I know how much of your own time
you all put into our P&C and we truly
appreciate it. I also wanted to say a
special thank you to Mel Primmer our
outgoing P&C president, Mel has
been a massive part of our P&C for
over 7 Years and has been an
exceptional advocate for our students
and community and extremely
competent and successful in her role.
Thank you Mel for all you have done
for Gunning Public School and we
wish you all the best in your new role
as a high school mum.
As you know school reports have
been postponed this semester and
reduced to a more succinct format
due to home learning and COVID-19.
Gunning Public School Semester 1
Reports will be sent home with
students on Tuesday the 21st of July
(Week 1, Term 3). During week 1 of
next term we will also be holding
parent teacher meetings; these are
preferably done via phone, skype or
zoom, however, may be done in
person if you wish. Notes regarding
times for parent teacher meetings are
attached, please return ASAP.
As part of our Positive Behaviour for
Learning (PBL) reward system, each
term students work towards achieving
Dojo Points for a reward day. This
term our SRC have voted for a
fortress box building day and Nerf
Gun Battle, this will be held next
Thursday the 2nd
of July, note with
information about the day is attached.
Despite Book Week being postponed
our Book Fair and Virtual Book Week
dress up parade will go ahead in
Week 1, Term 3. Just a reminder that
year’s Book Fair will be a little
different due to current restrictions.
We will be sending home wish lists as
normal, however, book fair will not be
open for families to browse. All orders
will need to be completed online,
through credit card details or exact
Change.
Our School Photos are on Monday
the 27th of July (Week 2, Term 3)
please note there will be no Breakfast
Club on the morning of school photos.
This term we have been extremely
lucky to have Miss Cupitt here two
days a week and covering leave for
some of our teachers. I just wanted to
thank Miss Cupitt for all her hard work
this term, having her here has
provided consistency and stability for
our students and given our staff extra
planning time. She has been a huge
help and I’m sure she will be back in
our classrooms often next term.
We had a wonderful Pyjama Day last
week. Thanks to all of your donations
our SRC raised $148 for sandpit
equipment for our playground.

No school dental checks this year due to COVID-19. We
encourage all families to arrange a dental check-up for your
children. You may want to consider the following options:
• Call the Goulburn Dental Clinic on 1800 450 056. Please
note at this stage we do have a long waiting list.
• Contact your family dentist.
• Check if you can use your private health insurance with a
local private dentist.
• Medicare Child Benefits Scheme- your child may be
eligible and this may allow for routine treatment at a local
