Nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes (NCNTs) synthesized by simple CVDshowed better electrocatalytic activity than the traditional Pt-CNTs catalystin oxygen reduction in KOH solution, suggesting that NCNTs were a superbalternative to Pt-CNTs for FCs (Fig. A). In addition, NCNTs show nocytotoxic to SPCA-1 cells in concentration of up to 1.0 mg/mL (Fig. B).
