Grayson Basketball Tip-Off Club
The Tip-Off Club is a volunteer parent-based organization whose purpose
is to provide support and resources to the Grayson High School Basketball
Program. Support is obtained through Tip-Off Club dues and a variety of
fundraising activities including concession sales at home games, Youth
Camp, Annual BBQ, JV tournament and business sponsorships. The
school only provides funds for game uniforms, referees, utilities, gym
maintenance, custodial fees, gate collector and buses to away games. All
other expenses are covered by TOC.
The program relies on our support for locker room improvements and
equipment, recognition plaques and certificates, senior night, team banquet
locker signs, game towels, basketballs, professional announcers,
scorekeepers and video production.
The Grayson Tip-Off Club consists of four (4) officers and is supported by
team parents, coaches, athletes, and parent volunteers at events and
games. There are many opportunities to volunteer throughout the season.

2017-2018 Volunteers Needed Behind every great high school athletic program, you will find a host of fantastic parent volunteers. Grayson Basketball is no exception! Through the years, our parents have been at the core of this program dedicating themselves to supporting our coaches and players.
The following is a description of the open volunteer positions that need to be filled in order to make this season a success:
Team Parents: Handle overall team administrative and organizational matters; Serve as team liaison between Head Coach and parents; Handle team communications as it relates to games, practice schedules, meetings, events, etc.; Manage player pre-game meals – food pick up, serving and clean up. 1-2 parents needed per team.
Concession Volunteers: The concession stand will be open for all home games and will be staffed by parent volunteers, Beta club and DECA club members. Each family is REQUIRED to work at least 2 slots. Girl parents will work boy’s games and boy parents will work girl’s games so no parent has to miss their child’s game. The link to sign up will be posted on the www.graysonhoops.com website by early November.
Fundraising/Sponsorships: Assist in developing fundraising budget and conceive and implement programs for raising funds for the boys and girls basketball programs; oversee any committees formed related to fundraising; solicit renewal and new sponsorships; make sure all aspects of sponsorship promised by TOC are completed (e.g., Signs, website presence, etc.); coordinate any other sponsorships necessary (e.g., Tournament sponsors; Coordinate spirit wear selections and sales).
Player Meals: Assist in developing the meal schedule for all home/away games; source new food vendors; create the pickup schedule; communicate to team parents weekly on meal schedule and list of players approved to eat; pay vendors on game days (meals paid for by TOC).

Player Fundraising Information
Dear Parents-
Fundraising is the key component of the Basketball Program’s budget as all gate proceeds go directly to the Athletic Department general fund. The Tip-Off Club raises money through several fundraisers during the basketball season. These fundraisers include concession sales at each home game, Yard Signs, the Youth Camp and our Annual BBQ.
Funds will be used to offset costs during the season to include locker room improvements, recognition plaques and certificates, senior night recognition, banquet and team celebrations, locker signs, game towels, basketballs, professional announcers, scorekeepers and video production.
The first fundraiser of the basketball season is our annual BBQ. Each player is asked to sell up to 10 plates for this event. Each plate includes 1 Meat and 2 sides. Please note the pricing varies for each plate. BBQ plate pickup will be in front of Grayson High School on Sunday, November 12th from 2pm-4pm . Please complete the attached order form and submit all funds on Thursday, November 9th. A Tip-Off Club member will be at practice to collect.
