Grease Information Sheet - Auditions are December 3'd and 4ú. Callbacks will be on the 6ú and if necessary. Sign up sheets wili be on the bulletin board in the choir hallway. o. o We have provided songs from the show for each voice type to perform. However, if you would prefer to sing a diffe¡ent selection we will have an accompanist to play for you. Please make sure that you bring your sheet music if your song is different from the provided pieces. o Students who only wish to participate in the chorus will be required to complete a vocal and dance audition; however, they are excused from the acting audition. o 2 CD's with the selections for the auditions will be in the Orchestra office. You can sign them out with Mrs. Strope. The CD's are NOT to leave the school. o There will be a chance to practice with Mr. Shope for the audition on November 19ft. There wiil be a sign up on the bulletin board in the choir hallway. - You will also be required to sign up for a dance audition slot on Wednesday December 5s. There will be two sections for that day 4-6pm and 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Sign-ups will be on the board in the Choir Hallway. + Please bring proper clothes for the dance audition. - Character shoes / Gym Shoes o No bare feet, flip flops or flats - Sweat Pants / Gym Shorts (comfortable and loose) - T-shirts or tank tops - Pit Auditions o More information to come. - Stage Manager, Director's Assistant, Costume Assistant and Lighting and Sound o Must submit a resume and letter of recommendation to Mrs. Strope no later than Friday December 21'r - Crew o Listen to the morning announcements for the crew's first meeting. - Attendance Policy o You may only miss one rehearsal for an emergency. Grease Character Breakdown

Danny: The leader of the "Burger Palace Boys." Well-built, nice looking, with an air of cool easy goingcharm. Strong and confident.

Sandy: Danny's love interest. Sweet, wholesome, naïve, cute, lìke Sandra Dee of the "Gidget" movies.

The "Pink Ladies" (The club-jacketed, gum-chewing, hip-swinging girls' gang that hangs around with the"Burger Palace Boys)

Rizzo: Leader ofthe Pink Ladies. She is tough, sarcastic and outspoken but wlnerable. Italian withunconvenl ìonal good looks.

Frenchv: A dreamel, good-natured and dumb. Heavily made-up, fussy about her appearance - particularly herhair. She can't wait to finish high school so she can be a beautician.

Matlv: The "beauty" of the Pink Ladies. Pretty, looks older than the other girls, but betrays her real age whenshe opens her mouth. Tries to act sophisticated.

Jan: Compulsive eater, loud, and pushy with the girls, but shy with the boys.

The "Burser Palace Bo)¡s" (A super-cool, hard looking group ofhigh school wheeler-dea1ers... or so they think)

i(enickie: Second-in-command ofthe burger Palace Boys. ToughJooking, tattooed, surly, avoids any show ofsoftness. Has an off-beat sense of humor.

Doodv: youngest ofthe guys. Small, boyish, open, with a disarming smile and a hero-worshipping attitudetoward the other guys. He also plays the guitar (or can make it look like he does)

Roger: The "anfihing-for-a-laugh" stocky type. Full of mischiel, half-baked schemes and ideas. A clown whoenjoys putting other people on.

Sonnv: Italianlooking with shiny black hair and dark oily skin. A braggafl and wheeler-dealer who thinks he'sa real lady-killer.

Patty: A typical cheerleader at a mrddle-class American public high school. Attractive and athletic.Aggressive, sure ofher self given to bursts ofdisconcerting enthusiasm. Catty, but in an All,American sort ofway. She can also twirl a baton.

Cha Cha: A blincl clate. Loud mouth and hornely. Takes pricle in being the "best dancer at St. Bemadette's."

Euseue: The class valedictorian. Physically awkward, with weak eyes and a high-pitched voìce. An apple-polisher, smug and pompous but gullible.

Vince Fontarne: A typical "teen audience" radio disc jockey, Slick, egotistical, fast{alkìng.

Johnny Casino: A "greaser" student at Rydell who leads a rock 'n roll band and knows it.

Teen Angel: A good looking crooner. Someone who would have caused the girls to riot in 1958
