For one night only, the Orchestra welcomes eminent composer and conductor John Rutter. In addition to conducting his breathtaking Requiem and Lord, Thou Hast Been Our Refuge in the splendid grandeur of St Paul’s Cathedral, the Orchestra will perform Vaughan Williams’ Fifth Symphony, a tour de force of orchestral prowess.

This season sees the return of the fantastic Grand Opera Gala at the magnificent Royal Albert Hall, featuring a stellar line-up of vocalists. Tchaikovsky Serenade for Strings Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto Tchaikovsky Swan Lake (excerpts)
Renowned conductor Barry Wordsworth takes the helm for this all-Tchaikovsky programme. The string section come to the fore in the passionate Serenade for Strings, but the centrepiece of the evening is Tchaikovsky’s exceptional Violin Concerto performed by South Korean virtuoso Yoon-Hee Kim (pictured). Excerpts from the enchanting Swan Lake, with its memorable melodies and spellbinding themes, complete the evening.
