    Subhash Chandra Bose.

    Born on January 23,1897 in Cuttack .

    Was an Activist known for Independence movement

    and organizing and leading Indian National Army .

    He was given the Title as Netaji .

    Passed B.A in Philosophy in 1918 .

    Was imprisoned 11 times by British authorities .

    Was elected as president 2 times, but then opposed

    Gandhis Ideology, and resigned from the post .

    He did not believe in Gandhis formula of

    inviolence .

    Before resignation, Attacked the Congress internaland foreign policy .

    Went out of country, seeking alliance with other

    countries, got Japanese Support for fighting againstBritish forces .

    Is presumed to have died on August 18, 1945, in a

    plane crash over Taiwan, but not confirm yet .

    Bose V/S Gandhi . Netaji Bose and Mahatma Gandhi differed in

    ideologies . Former opted violence, latter opposed .

    Bose became a leader of national level and agreed to

    accept nomination as Congress president .

    He stood for unqualified Swaraj (independence),

    including the use of force against the British .

    This meant a disagreement with Mahatma Gandhi,

    who in fact opposed Bose's presidency, splitting the

    Congress party .

    INA and Provisional Government

    .

    The Japanese agreed to cooperate in forming an

    Indian National Army (INA) in Southeast Asia .

    Bose became commander of the INA and head of

    the Free India provisional government (Arzi

    Hukumat-e-Azad Hind)

    The INA included Indian prisoners of war from

    Singapore and Indian civilians. The strength of INA

    grew to 43,000 .

    Disappearance and alleged Death Officially, Bose died in a plane crash over Taiwan,

    while flying to Tokyo on 18 August 1945 .

    His body was never recovered .

    Taiwan Government refused any such crash in

    Taipei.

    Bose was posthumously awarded the Bharat Ratna

    award .

    Disappearance of Bose was a mystery which could

    Mysterious Monk . It was believed that a Hindu Sanyasi in Faizabad

    Named Bhagwanji, was Bose himself in exile .

    At least four times, Bhagwan ji said he was Netaji

    Subhash chandra Bose .

    Govt. enquiry committee refuted, but Hindustan

    Times probe showed some hints of this being true .

    The life and works of Bhagwanji remain a mystery

    even today.

    Who Guided Netaji Bose ? The Vedanta & The Bhagwat Geeta were the

    sources of his inspiration for struggle with the

    British.

    Swami Vivekananda's teachings on universalism .

    Many scholars believe,Hindu spitirtuality formed

    the essential part of his political and social thoughts

    Bose had clearly expressed his belief that

    democracy was the best option for India .

    Why was he a Good Leader ?

    Had a Clear goal Decided .

    Opposed, what he thought, was not leading towards

    the Goal .

    Worked for Nations interest, & not his own

    interest .

    Collected all the powers, which guided him to the

    freedom, and did not leave the job half done .

    Formed his own Army, Major example of good

    leadership .

    What Can We learn from him ?

    Strong Dedication towards Aim .

    Consistent efforts, regardless of the obstacles .

    Use of all tactics to achieve the Target .

    Respect to others emotions .

    Save yourself, because team needs your service .

    Dont do some work for the sake of taking credit .

    Higher the target, more are the obstacles, so

    multiply your efforts in same proportion .
