In the beginning, the Greeks made simple jars based in geometric forms and Egyptian techniques.
THE GREEK ARTISTS DID A LOT OF RESEARCH ABOUT HUMAN ANATOMY.
The sculptors started to master the draft and the painters to master the space. As time passed the Greeks became more daring.

Greece had a very small mainland and lots of little islands. It was composed of several city-states, the main of which was Athens.
Because of its mountain ranges and powerful fleet, Greece had little to fear from its enemies.
.
Greece won a very important battle against Persian invaders in the city of Marathon.
A Greek soldier ran the 42,195 meters between Marathon and Athens to report the unexpected victory. Right after giving his message, he died of exhaustion.
In his honor, many cities in the world organize a race called Marathon, with the same exact distance.
