Introduction to the program

IT & Telestyrelsen offers - in corporation with Innovation Center Denmark, Shanghai - Danish companies and research institutions a 5 day innovation inspiration and match making tour to the greater Shanghai area. The focus is Green IT and Green Buildings.

This project’s mission is to: Stimulate cooperation in research, development and business within the field of green intelligent home control to the benefit of Chinese and Danish research organisations, corporations, companies and, more generally, the consumers and the global environment.

Through the promotion of Danish technologies within Green IT and through far reaching science and research projects, we wish to demonstrate Danish know-how and capabilities within Green IT. The aim is for the participants to achieve:

- Understanding: Examine Green IT in Chinese markets, identify new trends and growth and optimize your business development strategy- Promotion: Offer a platform to promote Danish commercial and scientific innovative technologies, solutions and expertise. And promote and discuss political agendas to motivate collaboration and development of more Green IT solutions within residential homes and offices- Collaboration: Provide access to opportunities for sales, development and/or research corporation with Chinese partners

The program is presented in the following pages. At least 3 of the days will offer intensive match making opportunities during a prolonged lunch- and networking session, allowing participants to get introduced to potential Chinese partners.

The program may be subject to changes. The match making partners will be invited when the Danish delegation is known in order to secure the best possible fit in compentences, demand and know-how.

Qianjiang Century City, HangzhouQianjiang Century City, Hangzhou

• Hangzhou will construct 10 new cities along Qianjiang River from upper to lower reaches, among which, Qianjiang New City and Qianjiang Century City are the most representative ones

• Qianjiang New City will be more of a government and administrative centre while Qianjiang Century City will be more of a business ad commerce centre covering business, financial & commerce, technology & information, airport service and living

• The project is still at the early stages. The initial project “33811” has just started on 19 March 2008. “33811”project includes the construction of 3 compound for relocated residence, the relocation of 3 towns, 8 infrastructure facilities and 11 social-invested projects

Taihu Lake New City, WuxiTaihu Lake New City, Wuxi• Wuxi is one of the important cities in the Yangtze River Delta with regard to its

economic development. Wuxi city government has decided in 2007 to develop the area around South Tai Lake (Tai Hu) to build Taihu New City.

• The Taihu New City covers an area of 150 km2, and will be divided into 3 functional areas, which are Eastern Zone, Central Zone and Western Zone. The Eastern Zone will be built as a science & technology park of 23 km2. The Western Zone is focused on innovative and tourism industries with a total area of 72 km2. The Central Zone will be built as financial, commercial and residential centre. As Wuxi’s new city centre, it would become a wonderful place with high living standards.

� The Taihu New City is planned to be built as an administration, commercial, science, technology and leisure centre. The government plans to spend ten years to turn this area into Wuxi’s new city centre.

• Intelligence Valley was hounored as the demonstration green commercial building by the Ministry of Construction of China in 2007

• Set up in 2007, Intelligence Valley applied multiple energy-saving and environmental-friendly technologies, bringing a 70% lower energy consumption than ordinary commercial building.
