GENERAL ELECTION
Only the Green Party and Labour are seriously contesting Sheffield Central. The Lib Dem vote has collapsed since 2010 after their vote to raise tuition fees. Dr Jillian Creasy, a GP for 28 years, is the party spokesperson on Health and Social Care. Jillian has been a city councillor since 2004. She has raised important issues affecting people and offered personal support and assistance whenever needed.
The likely outcome is that no single party will have an overall majority in the next Parlia-ment. That means that Green MPs can use their influence positively. For the Green Party that means an end to tuition fees, scrapping the £100 Billion Trident missile programme and making sure the NHS is free from private sector profiteers and properly funded.
Jillian will be a hard working constituency MP and a positive influence for Sheffield in the next Parliament. Jillian will vote against the continuing austerity proposed by all three main parties. It’s really hurting the poorest and most vulnerable and widening inequality.
You can make history by electing Yorkshire’s first Green Party Member of Parliament. Elect Jillian Creasy on Thursday May 7th!
