Please note this is not about choosing a teacher but could in- clude asking us to consider that we keep your twins apart or together, special consideraon to be kept with a close friend as your child may have a strong reason for this to occur. It may be possible to accommodate your request but cannot be guaranteed. If you need to arrange a me to talk with your teacher to discuss your thoughts, please do so via the usual channels. Students in Stage 2 and 3 have been bringing their own technology devices to school this year as part of the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) school strategy. We are currently reviewing our policy in this area but wish to advise you that whilst we may be making some mi- nor adjustments to the policy, the BYOD program will connue in 2019. Essenally this means that students who finish Year 2 this year will be able to bring a device of their own to school next year as part of their learn- ing program. We will provide a copy of the policy and a list of suggested connectable devices to our new fami- lies and to all Year 2 students once the policy has been amended. Many of you will know about the Cubby House pro- gram that has been running at GVPS for the past 12 years. This has been run as a transion to school pro- gram that has been managed by GVPS. From 2019, a new targeted transion to school pro- gram delivered and managed by Mission Australia in collaboraon with their partners will be implemented as part of the Communies for Children (C4C) program. More details about enrolment and contact details from Mission Australia is to come. All the best to our families and community members who will be celebrang Deepwali over the next week. Water is the healthiest drink families can supply for their children with juices and other sugary drinks being for special occasions. Now they have a place to stock up on fresh water. They are proving quite popular already. In this newsleer you will find two important cut off slips to return to school. One is for families of students in Years K-5 who will not be returning next at all OR they will be returning but not at the start of the year. It is vital that we have this informaon back so that a place for your child is reserved for 2019 and they are placed in classes. Without this informaon we cannot count your child as an enrol- ment at GVPS and this could impact on the number of teachers and the number of students in classes. If your child is coming back next year, you need not return this form.
