I n the November - December 2006 News-letter, we had expressed our need of a greenhouse to be able to produce fresh,
organic produce and to be able to grow our own organic herbs to make sure we had the best and freshest ingredients for our Health Center products.
We had made this a matter of prayer for years and were now ready to implement a greenhouse operation. We had the land, we had the operations manager, we had the water and electricity. Now, we just needed the green-house.
Never, ever, did we imagine how the Lord and His faithful servants would answer our prayers. As always, the Lord is right on time and ready to answer our prayers before we even ask. He knew that we were not yet pre-pared earlier, but as soon as the time was right,

He opened the windows of heaven!When we put our request before the
Lord, we were impressed to make our needs known to God’s people. We acted accordingly and put it in the Newsletter. We expected that we might get a few do-nations and were planning for a small, compact, 24’ X 50’ X 8’ high greenhouse. Then we were concerned that we might have been thinking a little too grand so we scaled back to a small lean-to next to the gardener’s house. We were looking everyway we could to cut costs and yet produce a supply of organic produce and herbs.
As we were daily praying, individual-ly and corporately, I (Joe Olson) received a phone call from a man who had read the article in the Newsletter. Excitedly, I an-
swered the phone hoping we might get some financial help to begin the much smaller “vision” we now had. I picked up the phone and a man named Aaron introduced himself. He was a long-time read-er and subscriber and proceeded to tell me what he had in mind.
He explained that two years ago he and his brother had gone to Oklahoma to buy two greenhous-es. He took his greenhouse, home to Minnesota, where he planned to put it into use. For some rea-son, he said, he never got around to using it. The greenhouse simply remained stored in his barn for over two
years, with no use whatsoever.Just previous to his receiving the
Newsletter, a man came to him and asked if he could buy the greenhouse
from him. Aaron asked how much he was willing to pay and the man said, “let me think about it.” The next day Aaron received the Newsletter and he
said, “I know what the Lord wants me to do now. Now I know why I have had this greenhouse in my
barn, unused for over two years.

The Lord had need of it!”As you can imagine, my heart
leapt within me as I was listen-ing. I was envisioning this little greenhouse could be ours, but I was wondering…… how much will it cost? Before I could ask the price, Aaron proceeded to ask me if we could come and get it since he would be unable to deliver it as soon as he thought we might need it. I assured him that we would be more than willing to come and get it, but the question of it’s cost was still out there.
I told Aaron that we had a pick-up and a 16’ trailer and felt we could get it loaded and transported eas-ily enough. What he said next floored me. He said, “You will never get this on a pick-up and 16’ trailer. You will need a 26’ U-haul truck for this.” I was speechless, and for those who know me, they know that was quit a feat.
I then asked, very meekly, exactly how big this greenhouse was? He said that is was….. 30’ X 100’ X 16’ high! I couldn’t believe it. He said, “The arch poles are
way too big for a 16’ trailer.” This was over twice as big as we had even dared to hope or plan for. And it was also twice as high! I was overwhelmed. Then, the thought of “how much” crept back into my head, crowding out the wonderful elation I was experiencing.
Finally, when I could take it no longer, I blurted out, “Aaron, what a bless-ing! How much do you want for it?” Almost before I finished the question he answered. What do you suppose the answer was? Don’t get ahead of me! But, you are right, absolutely free!!! This was the second time in the con-versation that I was speechless. It was more than I, or any of us here at Hope had imagined. As I prepared to thank him for the wonderful gift, and at the same time send up a silent, screaming prayer of praise and thanks to the Lord, (I

get kind of excited that way some times) Aaron continued talking.
He said, in addition to the huge 30’ X 100’ X 16’ greenhouse frame, he also had all of the pres-sure treated lumber for the bot-tom edges all the way around the greenhouse. He also had all the pressure treated lumber for the end walls and upper wall connections, all the interlocking plates to lock the plastic into place, the electrical controls, the pipe fittings and all of the couplers. In addition, he had the huge exhaust fans and the huge hanging heaters to heat and circulate the air of the greenhouse. He
even had pictures of how they took the greenhouse down so they would know how to reconstruct it. He asked me if I wanted all of those things.
You know I didn’t want to ask, but I couldn’t assume, so I asked how much he wanted for all the additional equip-ment which was valued at several thousands of dollars. Now, what do you suppose THIS answer was? Unbe-lievably, it was all for free! I am almost ready to dance now, and it would have
been ugly! But I was beyond excited and needed some way to praise the Lord and thank Him for His many, many blessings, but alas, all I did was thank Aaron profusely and told him how much we appreciated it, and how badly we needed it. All the while, I was sending “thank-you’s” to the Lord above.
It was Aaron who said that the Lord had answered our prayers two years ago when he went to get this greenhouse! Aaron recognized that this was the Lord’s doing and we were both praising His name for His mercy and lovingkindness.
We then made plans to pick the greenhouse up. We decided on a day that worked for us all and rented the truck. Satan must have been awfully
angry about this because on the day we were to pick it up, there was a
blinding, freak snowstorm. It was 55 degrees the day before and
after, but when we were there to pick it up, it was miserably cold and snowy, as you can see by the pictures.

Lord prevailed and we loaded the greenhouse and all the equip-ment up and got it safely stored back at Hope. Praise the Lord!
One more thing, Aaron said that when we were ready to build the greenhouse, to please give him a call and he will try to come down and help us put it back together. He said, “I will call my brother in Oklahoma and see if he will come and help
too, he loves to drive!” Once again, I was speechless.
We know the Lord has great plans for this ministry, way great-er than we have any conception of, and we humbly, but urgently ask for your continued prayers for this ministry, and for each one em-ployed here, that we might be faith-ful and firm unto the end, to glorify the God we so love and appreciate.

T his project has gone way beyond what we ever thought or imagined. Seems like a recurring theme here doesn’t it?
The calls, emails and letters are way too numerous to share, but we thought that maybe just a few would help to see how the project is being received.
“We receive your monthly DVD’s and appreciate them very much. We listened to Clark Floyd’s morning message today. Very good.
We would also like (enjoy) at least two DVD’s a month instead of one. We have no congregation to meet with and our home church consists of two, my husband and myself.

This is a request that we have received over and over again. There are more people than you can imagine who have to worship at home for one reason or another. Our hearts go out to each one and we are working as hard and as fast as we can go to do more. Every dollar goes toward more duplica-tion, more DVD’s, more staff to put them all together and more computers to put the programs together.

This is what we live for, the sharing of the messages! People send in names every single day to receive the DVD’s. A lot of people are sharing them. We had a SDA pastor sign up his two elders for the DVD so when he is not at the church to preach, one of the elders can show one of the DVD’s! Praise the Lord! Below are a few more:
“Thank you for the two DVD’s you have sent. I had read about your DVD ministry, but had never received one. They are perfect, especially if you can’t get out to church much. Recently, I tore a tendon in my right foot. My leg was in a cast for many months. Needless to say, no one from church gave me a ride or visited me. However, I was surrounded by the love of God through His word, your magazines, and the DVD’s.
May God continue to bless Hope International in its mission. We know that the hour is late. Thanks for all you do.” PL TX

And last, but certainly not least, as I was writing this, Melissa, in our health department, came in and gave me this written down telephone con-versation:
Hi all,
I just received a call this morning from a lady named ____ (who is 62 years old). She somehow got on our DVD mailing list, and has received the “Clay” DVD, and called all excited about it, as she had watched it last night.
She wanted to order 5 lbs of clay. As she was telling me some of her health problems, we got to talking a little about the Swedish Bitters Mud, Swedish Bitters

She said that she really enjoyed the clay message, and wanted to make a donation so that she would continue getting the DVD’s. She said, “I don’t want to be taken off the list, and I want to keep getting the DVD’s as long as I can!” She told me that she has a lot of health problems due to the way she lived when she was younger. She said that the people in her church NEED to hear this health message, and that she is planning on showing the “Clay” DVD to all the people in her church, and have them call us if they decide to order, or want their own DVD!
She also wants our regular catalog with all our books in it, and also the health catalog with our health products. She also requested a sample issue of the OFF, (Our Firm Foundation magazine) as she would like to subscribe to that too. She said that they have been getting the Newsletter, and they are just loving that. She said that she used to go to cooking schools when she lived in MD, that the local SDA church put on, but now that she is in SC they don’t have them as often. She wanted to know if we would be putting health sections on each DVD that comes out, and I told her that is something that we would like to do. She really likes the info on health, and also the cooking program.
I told her that we will be having a cooking section on theDVD every month, and she was really thrilled! She wants us to know how much
she appreciates what we are doing, and for taking the time to speak with her, and she wanted us to pray for her, and her family. Her two daughters are going through some rough times.
I know from this information I have written down here that you are probably thinking this woman is a wonderful Adventist lady! Well, come to find out, she is Methodist! I was just as surprised as you! Praise the Lord! I was so excited when I got off the phone with her, you would not imagine!
God is opening so many doors, and bringing people to this ministry. May we continue to be a beacon of light to everyone who asks about our faith! I thought this would get you all as jazzed (as Joe would say) as I am right now!

As you might imagine, we are re-ceiving more calls, more letters, and more emails and orders, and
have more work in DVD production, health work, web design, bookkeeping, shipping and the bookstore than ever before.
We are looking for a few people who want to work for the Lord full-time, in whatever capacity the Lord opens the door for. If you have a desire to work in a work that is totally satisfying, helping to prepare you for heaven, and giving you an opportunity to witness for the Lord, we would like to hear from you.
You need no prior experience! We are more interested in a willing heart and a teachable spirit than we are in proven abilities. We want people with a very good work ethic and who are not clock watchers. Our watchword here at Hope is “balance.” We are more concerned with your love for the Lord than we are your clothing or what you eat.
What we offer are “Intern-ship” positions initially. We want you to come, stay in our single dormitory rooms with private baths, and work and worship with us for a time. We provide a stipend for your food and essentials and provide a living room, laundry facilities, kitchen facilities and a won-derful health fitness area, not to mention a beautiful 80 acre
campus. Also, you get the benefit of being spiritually fed every Wednesday, Friday and Sabbath at our own beautiful on-campus chapel! You must pro-vide for your own transportation.
If you like working here, and in this kind of environment, and we are happy with you and your work ethic and attitude, we will consider offering you a regular paid position. It is very important to us and to any prospective employee that there is a good “fit.” The “Internship” program allows all of us to make sure of what we want to do before we make a plan for the future.
