Available with two face options and the choice of standard black painted or optional Herringbone Rumford™, Rock Creek™ or Black Enamel interiors, the Hideaway is as versatile as it is beautiful. The Hideaway comes standard with an accent light, 90 CFM fan and GreenSmart 2™ modulating remote control.

The Hideaway works great for corner or limited space installations in small intimate settings such as bedrooms, bathrooms, dining rooms, foyers or kitchens. You have the option of installing the Hideaway as a top vent or rear vent. Compact and easy to install, its ap-plications are limited only by your imagination!

Avalon GreenSmart™ Gas Fireplaces

Technology GREEN SMARTTM2A dashboard is located under the front of the fireplace, and is operated manually. Standard on the Seattle SS, Seattle DF, Winthrop TRV and Winthrop ST.

The manual controls are located on a black dashboard behind the concealment door. All controls are clearly labeled with white silk-screened lettering.

When the concealment door is opened, control panel LED lighting is automatically turned on to make viewing controls on the dashboard easy even in a low light environment in the home. Power is provided by a 9 volt battery lighting up the control panel. The control panel lights up even during power outages when you need it most.

Front Burner Only

Accent Light(s) are a standard feature in all Avalon Fireplaces. This feature adds a warm glow to the interior of the firebox and can be used when the fire is on or off. Perfect as a night light or soft indirect light for the room, the Accent Light allows visual enhancement of your appliance 365 days a year.

Example: A standing pilot appliance uses .552 therms of gas each day. The average therm of natural gas is $1.10, or $0.60 to run every day - no matter if the appliance is on or off. 31 days of standing pilot usage equates to $18.60 per month you can save when set to GreenSmart Pilot. Propane can run up to three times this cost. The GreenSmart System helps you save on both energy usage and your heating bill.

Accent Light Off Accent Light On

The Comfort Control switch operates the split-flow burner system. Push the button to OFF and your Comfort Control will turn off the rear burner (not available on the Seattle Diamond-Fyre model) while leaving the front burner on for an attractive flame appearance when less heat is desired. This feature offers a turn-down ratio of up to 72 percent! Push the button to ON and the rear burner will light giving you maximum heat when you need it. This offers you the most beautiful fire and more heating flexibility than any other product. Another smarter, greener way to enjoy fire in your home.

This switch allows you to run your appliance in either Continuous Pilot mode or GreenSmart Pilot mode. A continuous pilot stays on all the time, ideal during cold winter weather when a draft is needed for safe, reliable operation. It also reduces condensation which can form on the glass when the appliance is first turned on. GreenSmart Pilot mode uses an intermittent pilot (IPI) spark to light the pilot flame when your thermostat calls for heat, which does not run continually, therefore conserving energy when the appliance is not being operated. This setting is perfect for summer and provides maximum efficiency. This system includes a battery back-up, ensuring proper ignition even during power outages.

The Ember-Fyre is known for its gorgeous, dancing yellow-flame fire flickering around a high definition log set and glower embers for the most realistic “wood-like” fire available.

GreenSmart Split-Flow Burners

Dancing-Fyre™ Burner: The Dancing-Fyre is found in our Seattle SS, Winthrop TRV and Winthrop ST fireplaces and as an option on the Seattle HO and Winthrop HO models. These models feature a steel burner with standard log set offering a beautiful fire and glowing ember effect.

Avalon burners are all “two-stage” allowing a portion of the burner to be turned on and off with your Comfort Control. Your fireplace will be equipped with either the Dancing-Fyre, Ember-Fyre or Diamond-Fyre burner.

Winthrop HOWinthrop TRV

Additional Fireplace Options

Convection FanAll Avalon fireplaces come with built in heat exchange systems and convection chambers that naturally circulate warm air through-out your home. You can increase the movement of heat into the room with a quiet convection fan. A convection fan helps quickly move heat off the fireplace and transfer it into your living space ideal for the working family. The Hideaway TRV, Seattle HO and Winthrop HO have the Convection Fan as a standard feature. The convection fan on the Seattle SS, Seattle Diamond-Fyre, Winthrop TRV and Winthrop ST are optional.

The GreenSmart 2™ remote offers the ultimate in features and convenience from any location within 25 feet of your appliance and includes a bracket for wall mounting the remote to use like a wall thermostat. There is no need to open the control panel to operate the unit. Standard on the Hideaway, Seattle HO and Winthrop HO. It is optional on all other models.

Manual Setting:Fire ON/OFF and adjust flame height.

Thermostat:Thermostat control setting turns fire automatically ON and OFF to maintain set temperature.

“Smart” Thermostat:In “Smart” Thermostat mode the flame will modulate from low to high, or high to low until the set temperature is reached. This will conserve fuel usage and extend the viewing pleasure of the fire. If the room temperature exceeds the thermostat setting, the unit will shut off until heat is required again. The most comfortable and efficient way to heat your home.

Extra Room Power Heat Duct Kit OptionSend heat directly to additional room(s) in your home with the Extra Room Power Heat Duct Kit. This venting option delivers heat off the fireplace to additional zones within your home. This allows you to heat more of your home more quickly. At the time of framing determine where you want to direct the heated air - upstairs, downstairs or anywhere in your home within 20 feet of the fireplace. Each Power Heat Kit comes with its own blower that can be controlled with a rheostat within the room the vent is installed. The power heat duct will produce approximately 100 to 110 degrees F temperatures at the vent opening.

Take the time to educate young children about the dangers of fire and hot surface temperatures of glass and metal surrounding the fireplace.
