The Problem How do I create high-‐resoluGon, durable, reusable stencils that can withstand mulGple layers of thick paint and can be easily secured to and removed from a painGng surface?
How do I moneGze my creaGve passion in order to pay for future supplies?
The Significance Hand cuPng stencils can be Gme consuming and imprecise. Requires thinner material that did not funcGon ideally when covered in wet paint
Paints, canvases, brushes, cuPng machines, and tarps
can be quite costly
I want to share my art and make it possible for others to experience the exhilaraGng rush of spla?er painGng
The SoluGon
To use computer programs and automated cuPng machines like laser cu?ers
Use more durable materials for stencil base such as poster board
or thin sheets of wood
Use specialized painter’s pu?y to easily adhere/remove stencils to
painGng surface
The Business 1) Set up a booth at an outdoor market
2) Customers will be able to be able to pick out a stencil they want to spla?er (future possibility -‐ custom orders)
3) Stencil will be mounted onto a prepared surface
4) Paints, smocks, and ‘spla?er zone’ will be provided and the customer will be able to spla?er however they
desire (creaGvity is encouraged)
5) Stencil is removed and painGng is le` to dry while customer conGnues to enjoy the market
6) When dry, the artwork can be picked up and taken home
