This legend is the inspiration behind the new LUMINOR collection from Cerdomus. Not as far-fetched an inspiration as it might appear, for the name "onyx" in fact de-rives from the Greek onux, which means “fi ngernail” - and it's onyx which gives the surface of LUMINOR tiles their unique glossy sheen. Made from vitrifi ed stoneware, the LUMINOR collection is available in tones ranging from sheer black through quartzine shades of white, beige and grey to warmer brown and vivid russet red.

Ecco la strada che Cerdomus ha intrapreso per la creazione del suo nuovo gioiello LU-MINOR. Ispirazione forse alquanto fantasiosa ma altrettanto reale... il nome “onice” infatti deriva dalla parola greca “onux” che signifi ca “unghia”... ed è proprio dall’ela-borazione di una macro sezione dell’onice che si sviluppa la trama che, sfuggente, corre sulle superici specchianti di LUMINOR. Realizzato in gres fi ne porcellanato,si presenta nell’assoluta magia del colore nero, spaziando poi nei colori calcedoni quali il bianco, il beige ed il grigio, da qui fi no ai toni più caldi ed avvolgenti del color bruno sino ad arrivare ad una tonalità di rosso che molto assomiglia al colore del ferro ossidato. Voici la voie choisie par Cerdomus pour la création de son nouveau bijou LUMI-NOR. Une inspiration aussi fantaisiste que réelle…en effet, le nom “onyx” dérive de la parole grecque “onux” qui signifi e “ongle”… et c'est justement à partir de l'élaboration d'une macro section de l'onyx que se développe la trame qui, fuyante, court sur les surfaces réfl échissantes de LUMINOR. Cerdomus Ceramiche do not accept responsibility for defects resulting from the incorrect laying of materials. Maximum care should be taken when handling and laying polished products, in particular avoiding rubbing the tiles against each other. When laying is complete it is advisable to protect the floor with cardboard up until completion of building work on the site. Owing to the special na-ture of these tiles we recommend that you quickly wipe the tiles with special deter-gents after stuccoing. RACCOMANDAZIONI DEL PRODUTTORE PER LA PULIZIA E MANTENIMENTO DEL PRODOTTOPer la pulizia e per mantenere inalterato nel tempo il materiale con superfi cielevigata, si raccomanda l'utilizzo di prodotti neutri e non abrasivi. Si raccomanda di evitare l'uso di detergenti, soluzioni solventi o prodotti acidi/basici contenenti aci-do cloridrico, acido citrico, acido acetico o componenti abrasivi. Si raccomanda di non utilizzare prodotti per la pulizia come detersivi abrasivi che potrebbero graffi are la superfi cie. Prima di procedere alla pulizia di tutta la superfi cie pavimentata si con-siglia di effettuare un test su una piccola sezione, non troppo visibile, del pavimento.

MANIFACTURER RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCEIn order to clean and keep the tiles with a polished f inish, it is recommended the use of neutral and non-abrasive agents. Avoid using detergents, scale solvents or acid/basic products containing hydrocloridric acid, citr ic acid, acetic acid or abrasive components. Do not use cleaning agents like abra-sive scourers which might scratch the sur face. Test a small and not highly visible sec tion of the tiles before proceeding to clean the whole sur face with this t iles.
