What Is a Pediatric Dentist?

Studies show that poor oral health care in children can lead to impaired school performance as well as poor social relationships. It’s never too early to keep an eye on your child’s oral development. Promoting health habits at an early age can prevent future dental complications.

P ediatric Dentists specialize in treating children from infancy to adolescence. Pediatric den-

Dr. J. Elizabeth Lee is a Harvard trained board-certified pediatric dentist who provides her patients with the highest level of care. Born in Kansas, raised in Philadelphia and Korea, she now finds herself happily transplanted in Oregon with her husband and children.

SedationMinimal sedation (using laughing gas) or moderate sedation (using various combinations of medication) are available to help anxious or young children who have difficulty coping with dental appointments.
