Got necessary parts to start Pre-amp
design
Built Pre-amp with given schematic
Adjusted the DC voltages as needed
Made adjustments to circuit as needed
Added two capacitors
Removed and replaced the resistor
(R6) with a potentiometer
After adjustment were made
Todd did his testing process
o Got the devices for measurements
o DMM, analog meter, oscilloscope etc.
o Followed the measurement ruleso AC measurements:
o Frequencies
oGiven
V(in) and V(out)
Voltage gains
Av(dB)
o DC measurements:
oLow currents
oPositive
oNegative
oVoltage
oInput
oOutput
oPower
• Oscillation occurred
• Added capacitors as stated in procedure
• Backup to reduce the noise level
• Used a common ground
• Another noise reduction
• Once circuit was tested and the noise
reduction at none• Ready to combine with Power Amp

Started Power Amp with given schematic
Built in a non convenient way
Circuit didn’t work
Heat sinks were red hot
Capacitor was shorted out
Resistor was heating up
Rebuilt circuit
Proper way
Tested circuit
“No problem” and ready to be tested
Same DC

o Got same necessary devices for measurements
o DMM, analog meter, oscilloscope etc.
oFollowed the measurement rules
There was a sausage AC output displayed
Even though a clear AC input was
displayed
Double checked circuit for no loose parts
None found
Guided and assisted to fix problem
AC measurements can be made
